Knives aside, what are your other hobbies??

Thanks guys, ....David, its more like a work in progress!!

Im putting a new gas tank on and a custom paint job....and of course more CHROME.....Ill get pics taken when its done....sometime in september.

Thanks again

Bj

Good looking bike.
Is it an Ironhorse Texaschopper?

Kevin, thanks.....Iron horse yes....Texas chopper ..no

This one is an IH LSC, its a true rigid frame...every 100 miles or less depending on the road you have to stop & stretch. It has a 280 rear tire that I under inflate a bit to give me a little more bounce if you will for the bumps.

The Texas chopper is a soft tail frame...probably more comfortable but just not as low and not as much fun.

For the long trips I have an 07 HD ultra classic.....I call it the minivan...has everything but a shower. We do 7 to 10,000 miles a year minimum on it.

Very nice display, but why do you need more than one guitar, you can't play with them at once;):D

Marcel

I can barely play one a time let alone all of 'em. But I have a bad case of Guitar Acquisition Syndrome. For those of you not familiar with the condition, it's a lot like Knife Acquisition Syndrome.:D

My wife accuses me of having KAS, but I'm not sure. It's not that difficult to play with more knives at once:D;)

Marcel

Have to remember the "KAS", Marcel, as it is one thing
many of us have built into their genetic structure, not
realizing that our "bug" has its own scientific name...

KAS.... :)

I spend every afternoon on the water coaching and teaching young athletes the sport I love as well.

This is a group of high-school boys who are in their first year (first month for most!) of racing, and are in the Novice category. We raced against 15 other crews and they finished 1st Place by :30". A crushing win!

They will have another name on the silver plate for this year's 2009 winner's. (I have the 2005 win, also. :)) You can tell who is JUST as happy as the athletes. That is my assistant coach on the right, who is a stud athlete in his own right, and also raced and won in his single. Combined we have a lot of experience to offer in return.

Next weekend is another regatta!

good for you, Coop! It's awesome to be able to help young people find a place, ain't it.

Its really cool to see what you guys do in real life, other than knives i mean

Coop, do it to it!! Congratulations. Those kids are lucky to have a fine guy like you as a role model!

Not sure if that counts as a hobby, but I just started learning computer programming and the like. After 10 yrs in the hi-tech industry, I decided it might be fun to know more about what it is we do. So far, it's a lot of fun. There's amazing sources of info on the net, including full MIT classes on iTunes.

I build and paddle canoes, carve canoe and kayak paddles and spend as much time as possible seeking out some of the more remote paddling spots on this continent.

My wife and I practice and teach the Classic Canadian Solo style of paddling. Some refer to this style as "ballet on water" as we dance the boat incorporating spins, sidewards and backwards paddling, and a wide variety of strokes and stroke combinations. This is all done with minimal movement and effort from the paddler and should look like the paddler is doing absolutely nothing to make the boat do what its doing.

VERY cool Coop. I've done a bit of rowing but mostly on my Concept II Ergometer:D

BigBlue - those are some beautiful looking paddles and your canoeing sounds COOL.

Pittsteel - Nice toys you have there. I used to do a lot of 4-wheelin back in my younger days. Fun stuff!

There are quite a few collectors and knifemakers
that have recently joined the Blade Forums.

How about telling us a little about your other interests?

Well, I'm not new here, but since you brought the thread up again, I'll just mention another hobby of mine; instrument building. Here's a thread I just completed in the makers sub-forum documenting the building of my first steel string guitar, if any of you care to see it:
