Tim Hancock is deeply involved with cowboy art.
He began making spurs early on during his rodeo days.
While living in California, he met Edwin G. Fields a third
generation bit and spur maker that took him under his wings,
teaching him their traditional family silver tooling techniques.

Tim still makes spurs and bits but mostly as a hobby,
for family and friends. The pictured spurs are the pair he wears
himself every time he steps into the saddle.

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Tim Hancock is not only a first-rate Master Bladesmith and
skilled horseman; he is also a true cowboy and a natural
explorer at heart.

Tim rode bulls and bareback broncs in rodeos, even making it
to the National Finals a few times. He has driven herds of horses
long distances, broken wild horses, and has worked for numerous
well known horse trainers.

Some other hobbies have included riding in endurance competitions,
rock climbing, ice climbing and scuba diving.

Although Hancock is quite soft-spoken, his background has provided
him with a combination of mental and physical toughness that few
men can match.

Here he is seen during a mounted back country pack trip with his
good friends Larry Fuegen M.S., and Ged Messinger who also
took this picture.

This trip took them into a region that is a great favorite of both these
cowboy explorers, and one into which Tim has ventured solo many
times throughout his life.
It’s an area presumed to be full of gold and treasure –
The Superstition Mountains!

Tim definitely looks at home in this setting.

looks yummy, Ray! Maybe you should consider eating him and replacing him with another pile of bull, call it Barack or somesuch:D

Lorien, Do you eat your pets? Little Bill is my pal. :D Actually I have already considered the name you suggested if and when I do have another bull.

By the way, Raymond and Lorien, the name BARAK comes
from the BIBLE and means LIGHNING in Hebrew....

All the best,

Jp, my kids and I do enjoy 3D archery. I shot competitively for a while but with my surgeries and stuff. The local clubs go out of their way for the kids. The group I shoot with has several former/current AMA/IBO big dogs in it, it's funny to watch them with the kids, they really work hard to ensure the sport grows.

That's one of the things lost in my divorce.... target bow :barf:

Why that model, and does it have IRS? Yes it is a sleeper body, but I'm having a hard time figuring this one out.

Best Regards,

Steven Garsson

Nah, Shes got 4" skinny's and drag springs F/R, She's only meant for going straight. Dont think about it too hard, Its all for fun.

Don´t have many pics, but my hobbies are knives, aikido, reading and family time. I got twins 21 months old who have been taking most of my time - to who I give gladly - so I have been away from aikido for the last 15 months.

When the snow isn't falling, I drive myself positively nuts with this silly game:

Love that stock - did you make it or is it factory?

That's a Ruger Finger Groove stock from the 60s' that I refinished. I like the Ruger Walnut stocks much better than all the aftermarket stuff.

STeven, to help with the Mustang question; The small, late model (80s'/90s')
V8 stangs are the 'best bang for the buck' for drag racing. The old ones are getting too rare and costly. The newer models can be too spendy and complicated.

Great photos folks!

Edmund Davidson is truly fascinated with guns and loves
building and shooting them.
When visiting him in June 2007 I asked him about one of his guns.

Without a word he took me out to his vast (2,000 acres) back yard and
set up a demonstration for me....

He is shown here blowing up a 5 gallon red plastic jug of water
while demonstrating to me the power behind a 300 grain Hornady J.H.P.,
one of the lighter rounds he uses, with his large .458 LOTT....

Heh heh. No.:o Please tell Little Bill that I was just joking, ok?

Watch out for those bbq guys though!

I Love to fish and go camping with my wife Andrea and my dog Clementine in our 1959 Shasta, just don't get to do it enough. But fortunately, I love my work making cool stuff for our clients and the occasional knife.

You already hurt Bill's feeling...... :D

Here's a picture of a picture from the good old days. I went on a year long camping and hunting trip in some far off land. With all the guns around it felt like the Wild Wild West. I'm out sunning myself on a OP. After looking at this old photo not sure which direction the bad guys would be coming from. :D
