Knives that you are surprised are not as popular as they should be

We all know there are knives that seem to have the whole package: feels good in the hand, well made, highly usable, and even look nice. Somehow, though, they just aren't as popular as you would expect them to be, given their traits. ... How about yours ?

Buck 55.

I'd have to Mcusta knives in general and also the new Ti Lum from Spyderco!

There is not much coverage on it yet I guess, but I already have mine and love it!

Ti scales only ONE locking liner to reduce weight and of course the awesome, organic, THIN blade!

Makes for an eye appealing light-medium use folder.

On the one hand, I'm surprised butterfly knives are not more popular with knife people (considering it has the strongest no-fail "lock" of any folder), on the other hand, given the legalities, I guess I see why.

As far as Benchmades go, I'd have to say the HK 14205 is either underappreciated or undiscovered by alot of folks. In my opinion pictures of it don't do it justice, but when you hold it and use it you see just how well built and heavy duty it really is. Yet it is in a rather compact, small package.

Pohl Force folding knives:
-Alpha 1
-Alpha 2
-Alpha 3

Altough in the Benelux this brand seems to be breaking the ice.

Pretty much anything Al Mar. You don't hear too much about Al Mar these days however they still offer IMO the best fit and finish of any production knife under $200!

The Kershaw RAM, although appreciated by a small number, has nowhere near the widespread acclaim that it should.

It's a legitimate contender in the @3" folder category but hardly ever gets recommended.

Lone Wolf Blackfoot:

Thick heavy duty heat treated steel liners, checkered stabilized Ebano wood scales, s30v with an excellent utility blade shape with thick tip. All for less than $100!

I have this knife and I love it, I heard about from a nutnfancy video

Check out the truly lovely Citadel knives. Now that's a charming brand! Various supremely attractive recent folders.

spydie's Police "not too much interest"?
- John E Woven

it had it's day way back when knifedom was all about buying yet another generic brass laden buck 110!

Great thread.
I will second the Buck Vantage pro.
Also add Marlowe knives.

For a knife that won the same award as the Emerson Commander, the Lone Wolf Paul Defender seems to be always available at dealers.

Seki-cut Lum Encounter fixed blade. The 4" version should easliy compare with the best production fixed blades out there like the F1 and Bravo 1.
