Knives that you are surprised are not as popular as they should be

I dunno I dont think the Sebenza gets talked about around here very often. You think with it being almost the perfect knife more people would love it. I guess it just never took off.

+1 The Lahar is one of the best built folders I have handled, customs included (in my book, it is a custom, being hand-ground by Tim).

man, I'm just finding that I agree with nearly everything you've been saying, haha. the lahar is incredible, I actually just bought one from TNK. it locks up as tight as anything, and it has a really solid detent, which is great for a flipper. it's incredibly ambitious with all of the annodizing and different finishes on the knife. I love how parts are beadblasted and some parts are polished. and then the heat colored stand-offs were just icing on the cake. great folder. and i love the jimping on it, much better than the Umnumzaan's jimping, which is more generally known as a hard use knife.

SanRenMu 710. For the money it has to be one of the best deals in the world. They are actually quite nice.

The Kershaw RAM, although appreciated by a small number, has nowhere near the widespread acclaim that it should.

It's a legitimate contender in the @3" folder category but hardly ever gets recommended.

+2

A steel up grade or just a limited ed. would do a lot to spread the word.

Composite D2
S30V
Elmax
ZDP-189

Any or all would help it to be more widely acclaimed.

Fallkniven NL5 Idun.

I know that the Fallkniven F1 and A1 a very popular, as well as Bark Rivers Bravo series knives, and I like those knives alot too. I just think that the Idun seems to get overlooked for some reason as a similar styled 4" bladed woods knife.

Laminated VG-10 steel, full convexed blade, comfortable stacked ox-hide leather handles. -I think it looks great as well as being a great performer.

I agree! What a beauty!

I think the CS knives with the Triad Lock will gain popularity as time goes on. Practically all of their folders now have it. My American Lawman has put other, much costlier, knives to shame.

I would have to go with the Kershaw Groove. Don't hear much about it on the net at all. It's an awesome knife. Feels awesome in the hand, locks up good, and has a very good flipping action. I think you can get them for around $40 now

Pretty much anything Al Mar. You don't hear too much about Al Mar these days however they still offer IMO the best fit and finish of any production knife under $200!

For under $100 you can have the Falcon Ultralight...over 3" blade with a total weight of  1.25 ounces!! Handsome thing too.

Is the under $30 with shipping? Cheapest I'm seeing is $33 with shipping.

You have to dig around, but you can - YCS (when they have the plain edge in stock) normally hits the $30 marked shipped in the US.

I, of course, am in Canada and have to resort to more "creative" measures to get Leathermans cheap.
