Knockoff zt?

That's kind of shitty. You pay $180-$300+ for a knife and when it shows up you have suspicions that it's a fake. So you send it in only for them to take the damn thing without telling you. That'd piss me off mostly because you have no recourse to get the money back from the seller.

I understand ZT's policy on taking the fakes off the market, they're literally stealing business from them, but without a way to varify it's real without sending it in screws the buyers over(especially the ones who got duped).
ZT told me they highly discourage buying off eBay. Which if the OP didn't he wouldn't have to worry.

I can see them doing that just fine. You bought a knife and didn't do the legwork to tell if its fake or real, and then you expect them to do the work for you? Then give it back and out on the market to potentially be sold again if its fake?!?

Seems like a pretty reasonable policy on their part.

He certainly doesn't seem to be too worried. He's either going to keep it and convince himself its real, keep it and live with the fact its fake (which doesn't seem to be happening at this point), or try to convince others its real and sell it.

It seems like he is trying to convince the folks in this thread that it is real.

Buys fake, asks for advice, and defends its authenticity with lies. KAI/ZT would never “Authenticate” a knife over the phone. Also admits to stealing ZTs intellectual property and he’s fretting over “Us” to authenticate his knife. Right...

It amazes me how some will sacrifice the whole deal and piece of mind over a few bucks.

I just checked knifecenter. They have a 0562 cf 20cv. The knife is different than the o.p. From what im reading the reason is because the knife is a first run??

Well, I mean, in the end if somebody wants to buy a clone...they buy a clone. We can all discourage it, even deride it, but we cant do anything about it. Happens all the time.

And if you have convinced yourself that the knife you bought is real...like seems to have happened here...then great! Good for you. Hardly seems like a thread topic. "Hey, look at my real knife."

But I would love to know the point of opening a thread, asking if your knife is real, having everyone say "No", and then ignoring them.

That to me is the most compelling part of this whole thread by far.

He claims they must have had some handles left over from the original design and used them is why his lacks the more elaborate design on the lock cut out. Even though they changed it long ago.

I don't think it is real because I can't make mistakes, I make mistakes all of the time.....

I can admit when i'm wrong as I was this time, the cf scales could be the same ones as on the m390, as well as the relief cutout, the titanium looks the same as the one on bladereviews, i wanted something to be 100 percent sure it was a fake, I dont want to accuse a seller of selling a fake unless I am 100 percent sure it is a fake, that is a good way to ruin a sellers reputation. I took to looking at the knife under a jewelers loop, and everything is identical to the real one, with one exception. I know the people who make the clones are probably going to read this unfortunately, but the one thing measurable I found is the lockbar stabilizer, on mine it has a very small chamfer while the real one has a much larger one. It is amazing, this knife that is 60 dollars on aliexpress seriously has the same if not better quality than some of my benchmades, if only they would use their skills to make their own unique designs at the same quality, it would be great. I will be uploading pictures.

The letters don't even line up from his images to the real thing.

I know its insane, Its also insane how they could become real competition if only they had some originality. I checked the ebay seller, the guy sold 6 of these so far and no one caught it.

Dude they cannot become real competition when they are stealing. And not only that they are using cheap steal.

What your saying is he ripped off 6 people? That's shitty. Why would you expect people who are not knife people to know the difference?

Also he's using stock images not images of the actual product. Need to report him.

This is exactly why we don't buy shit on eBay or Amazon. They sell fakes for the real thing. They buy them at $50 or less a pop and sell them foe $100+ and you get screwed. If I were you I'd be pissed.

OP - based on your above picture, is it the seller whose eBay handle starts with new*?

Edit: it appears multiple sellers use the same picture, and multiple pictures show fake ZT 0562cf. Knife people - stay as far away from ebay as possible.
