Large inkosi just announced for Bladeshow in Instagram.

Did anyone pick up on the last line in their Instagram post?

I noticed it, I'm just praying it's not a 7" Green Beret with the Blade Show logo painted on the side.

This is awesome, cool woods too!, I hope they make a inkosi with full wood inlays or at least wood inlays.

If they do a full wood inlay like the annuals, I am getting a small and a large inkosi... [emoji16]

Wonder if they will keep making the Gabon ebony inlays?? Just picked up a lefty small 21 w/ Gabon ebony inlays and raindrop Damascus...

As I mentioned on my previous post, they will discontinue all current wood inlays except the Box Elder. And in doing so introduce the 4 new wood inlays...

I just looked up pictures of the new wood inlays. I am really interested to see what the Macassar ebony and spalted beech inlays look like.

My hopes for an Insigo 25 doesn't look good anymore. :(

Now I wait for a Large Insingo Inkosi :)

Me wonders if the blade on the Large Inkosi will be thicker than the Small and 25? Currently the Inkosi and 25 have the same thickness, 0.140".

Will be very interesting to see if they eventually have the Micarta Inlays on the Inkosi(s)

I dont think the Sebenza 25 will be very collectible, if at all, UNLESS the Inkosi stays just ti with no embellishments ie.micarta. I could see the 25 w/micarta becoming extremely collectible if the Inkosi stays plain jane.

Im really looking forward to getting a large Inkosi!

those woods are gorgeous, especially the Macassar ebony.

Looks good. I was pretty heavily looking for a 25 that was a good deal. I think I'll just hold out and see how the large Inkosi turns out.

Blade thickness on Inkosi = .128"

Boom Shaka Laka

I personally hope they go for the thinner stock on the large, when compared to the 25. In my experience there is zero advantage to the thicker blade on the 25 other than lesser cutting performance, and more weight. Hopefully the trend towards a thinner blade continues.

Thank You for posting this.
And thanks a lot for all the funny comments.
I'd like to see the shield and spear logo on my large Inkosi.
My guess on the surprise: A limited edt. of the large Inkosi with special engraving.
Hopefully we will see some comparison-pictures of the large Inkosi and the 25, as well as some impressions of the new woods.
Can I wish for desert ironwood please? ;)

Knowing CRK, I seriously doubt the large Inkozi will turn out to be a turd.:) I'd really like to see the tech specs of the new lg Inkozi to see the differences between it & the 25. I'll just have to wait for the official release to find out, I guess.

As it is, I've really grown attached to my 25 & don't see that changing. I do plan on getting a small Inkozi to round out my carry options, though.

I'm not sure of that comparison. Without looking up the stats or putting a mic on the blades, my eyeball tells me the 25 is thicker. I have both open and side by side.

BTW. I just called CRK to see if they were taking orders on the large Inkosi and was told "No, not yet." Sometime after Shot it will be announced on FB, Instagram and their website. I also asked about available "bling" on the knives and was told basically..."we don't know yet."

So as a lefty it took 7 months for me to receive my Inkosi from CRK. That being my experience, I expect approximately the same time period for this new large creation. Righties first, then us persecuted lefties last.;)

Thuya, Spalted Maple and Macassar Ebony were previously available. The Bog Oak is the only one I'm thinking is new. I guess it replaces the Mammoth. Will make a nice set of black and white IMO.

Inkosi in large nearly the same size as a 25 replacing the 25, previously predicted though still disappointing. Maybe they will make a medium for BladeShow 2017.

Really, I have to say, so far the marketing department is not doing very good at designing new knives.

In pics, the 25 and the large Inkosi look exactly the same. What are the differences? Either way, it looks great.
