Large inkosi just announced for Bladeshow in Instagram.

I will keep my 25 that I have used almost everyday for 3 years now. Lovin its snail trails.

Nyfe,

I'll also keep my 25s, but I suspect that for the people who are yet to get a 25, there is no reason not to go straight to the large Inkosi. I hope you find it meets your standards, or you will be in love with 2 discontinued models.

Unless they carry over the angled clip. Then I think the 25 is going up in value.

If the 25 goes up in value it will happen in like 2025.

I personally hope they go for the thinner stock on the large, when compared to the 25. In my experience there is zero advantage to the thicker blade on the 25 other than lesser cutting performance, and more weight. Hopefully the trend towards a thinner blade continues.

Agreed. It was the reason I parted with my 25. I still have to give the Large Inkosi a good test drive though. ;)

I'm guessing they are going to unveil the damascus insingo in all its variations.:D

Oh man I wish.
*sigh :o

Mine's not broke either. I'm looking forward to buying the 25's cheap on the exchange!

Oh I dunno. I'm contemplating buying another micarta now. They might be going up! Looking at a 25 in my hand, if the clip was on an angle it might be unusable to me. I think it would land right in the base of my fingers.

You could be right. Time will tell. I'm happy with my 25 currently and don't see the need to react at the moment. And yes! I wish I would have never sold my micarta! What was I thinking?

You might be right. PJ regulars fly off the shelf to newer collectors.

PJ 25's?

I dunno what you were thinking lol.

I mean new collectors buy up old regulars like crazy. Maybe the 25 will be similar in 2025.

IMO the Inkosi stop pin and washers are an improvement, but hardly worth the cost of an upgrade. The pocket clip and how they do the inlays along with the specs on the blade are what it will come to for me.

I still see the 25 outliving me. My original from 2013 is at the spa and it really shouldn't have been sent now that I know the 25 is discontinued. Ugh. I already bought its replacement.

I love that knife!:D

I'm getting dizzy. I try to refrain from backups, that's why I like variants of a knife.
CRK is so helpful - coming up with all those new woods and new names.
I love this game and can't wait for the secret getting unveiled tomorrow.
How ever see's it first, please post.
TIA

My 25 macerate is perfect. "Upgraded" washers and stop pin? No interest because there is no need. Someone cited the 25's slightly wider blade stock's "lesser cutting performance". Please. If you can't cut with this blade, you're not doing it right.

The 25 is great. Sure, every product that exists can be improved somewhat, the 25 included. Do these small "improvements" mean the 25 is dead, and that no one will be interested in them? I suspect not. My large pivot Umnumzaan is still awesome, even though there is a "newer, better" one available.

I'm all for changing things up a bit. But I'm also all not overreacting and selling things off just because it's not the newest, coolest one.

Love the new inlay shape! Not disappointed. This is cool, can't wait to see the same in Micarta. Bravo CRK.

Looked like they ditched the overly aggressive jimping of the 25 as well. This knife just keeps getting better. If it's got the thinner blade and angled clip, it's going to be very tough for me to resist (at least in a more humble Micarta or wood version)

No disappointment here either (although I do love the jimping on the 25). I love how they blasted the titanium instead of polishing!

If anyone at blade can give us pics, we'd love to see the other side of this one as well.

My favourite part of this Inkosi is the snake knot lanyard. That monstrosity of an inlay, maybe it's meant to match a person's grillz. Wtf.

I like the idea of the new washer and the updated stop pin, but dislike the loss of symmetry by not having the stop pin have a hex head screw.

Well let's see the specs. I'm waiting for the blowout sales on the 25 at this point.

Ugh, I want to love the new Inkosi.
