Large inkosi just announced for Bladeshow in Instagram.

I think that's one of the reasons I like Regs , and 21's better than the 25.... Blade thickness. Thinner works better for me in a 3" pocket knife.

BTW. I just called CRK to see if they were taking orders on the large Inkosi and was told "No, not yet." Sometime after Shot it will be announced on FB, Instagram and their website. I also asked about available "bling" on the knives and was told basically..."we don't know yet."

So as a lefty it took 7 months for me to receive my Inkosi from CRK. That being my experience, I expect approximately the same time period for this new large creation. Righties first, then us persecuted lefties last.;)

You mean after Blade Show right? If its sometime after the next SHOT show it will be next year since that happened already this year.

With the angled pocket clip on the Inkosi, I can't picture any kind of inlay on that side like there is on a 21. Am I missing something? Some wood or graphic on the front side only would still be cool.

I think the angled clip might be unique to the small. I doubt the large has the same ergos. If it was a better fit for most people, they would have changed it years ago.

For me I got my Inkosi before getting a 21 or regular (2010 Annual) and I like the thicker blade on the Inkosi better. It may be a case of liking what you are used to more.

I expect the angled clip will be on the large Inkosi. CRK says its easier to tune the lock bar when the clip is not pushing on it. It was one of the "Improvements" of the Inkosi family. I hate that on the Sebenza the clip pushes on the lock bar. The action feels better with the clip removed then when its on for me. It may be more of a thing on small Sebenza. I have only had small 21's and a small regular and they were nicer with the clip removed. Maybe the large was not as impacted.

I completely agree with you and don't think you are missing anything.

Did anyone pick up on the last line in their Instagram post?

I'm guessing they are going to unveil the damascus insingo in all its variations.:D

Same here. I dont know how or what they could fit in that area.

Thuya, Spalted Maple and Macassar Ebony were previously available. The Bog Oak is the only one I'm thinking is new. I guess it replaces the Mammoth. Will make a nice set of black and white IMO.

Inkosi in large nearly the same size as a 25 replacing the 25, previously predicted though still disappointing. Maybe they will make a medium for BladeShow 2017.

Really, I have to say, so far the marketing department is not doing very good at designing new knives.

Is Spalted Maple and Spalted Beech the same? I don't think they are...

Tune the tension of the clip so that it is just barely touching the lock bar with the blade locked open. That is the correct position for it. If it's pushing against the lock bar with the blade open, it's too tight.

Maple and Beech are different species. What does that have to do with my post?

You mentioned Spalted Maple and only Bog Oak will be new.

But CRK had not used Spalted Beech before right? So, there's 2 new wood inlays.. Beech and Oak.. [emoji16]

Thanks! I will try that, but still having it resting on the frame like the Inkosi and some other makers is nicer.

Ohhh it's Spalted Beech? I thought it was Maple, so no Maple. Got it. So 2 new ones. That's better than Maple. I hope it's stabilized and feature the black line. That would be really popular.

Yep, it looks great! I still like Maple but is no longer available.. So, this one should work fine..

I think going stabilized is the only way to go... [emoji16]
