Yup, you can see where it's countersunk for the clip/screws.Looks like the first set of photos you posted were the under side of the scale. This one is the side that actually shows when the scales are installed.

Can anybody confirm if the Hinderer Maximus Textured Carbon Fiber scales actually have a cut out to move with the titanium linerlock as it appears at in this photo? J Jordan@DLT![]()
Yep, got it on Friday and love it. That is the OD green G-10 scale. Right now I am liking it as it is, so no plans to change anything right now. The only thing I may do is get an orange one like yours for the month of OctoberYou weren't lying! You did pick up a DLC sheepsfoot! Is that a Ti scale on there or is that the coyote or tan one? Any changes to hardware in the future?
Better now, fixed color and tint. You weren't lying! You did pick up a DLC sheepsfoot! Is that a Ti scale on there or is that the coyote or tan one? Any changes to hardware in the future?
Can anyone help me out here, I just acquired this 3.5” in a trade and was not aware that the front scale was not g10 until it showed up. Does anyone make an aluminum scale for the XM-18? It is thicker than my other knife with the ti scale but it’s metallic so I’m thinking it must be aluminum, and it’s also lighter than my all ti. Thanks

Looks like there was a guy who made Aluminum scales for xm's back in 2015. It looks like his site is inactive. He was last seen in april. you may be able to message him and see if he was the one who made them.

How do you like that lionsteel slipjoint? Really peaking my interest.
Anyone knows when the full track will hit the market and how much?
That's a cut-out or pocket and not a through slot. It's to add relief for moving the liner lock. It does not move with the liner.
Here is a different angle.
