Lets see some Hinderer action

You lucky duck. How do u like it?? (The new one)
After owning the original full track and an xm24 (both sold) it's nice to have a larger Hinderer again. Slimmer feel kind of like a CRK Zaan but on a Hinderer level with a good grip. Classic clip point profile. The built in tool is very handy for disassembly so it's more than just a gimmick. I like it even with the g10 scale.

So here’s a bit of great news and some fantastic customer service!
I contacted the ranch about needing a pivot and screw after buying on the secondary market and finding out that the knife has been “ upgraded”. I received a very nice response from them and after sending a pic of the knife to verify it wasn’t a knock off I was instructed to send the knife in and for a very minimal fee they would replace the cheap China parts with a new OEM pivot and screw.
I am beyond pleased with the level understanding and service I was offered. They were in no way obligated to correct this but stood behind their awesome product. I will consider me a Hinderer guy from here out.
Although since reaching out I have been informed the original parts from my knife have been shipped I am very grateful to own a couple of knives from this great American company that offers such great customer service.

Very nice...I have a burgundy Emmett inbound
Hell yeah brother! Very nice! You should love it!

Mine’s already darkened up a bit. Plus the handle feels great in hand. Also, the maroon micarta was super hard to find! They seem to be selling out faster than any of the other colors. I got mine from The Blade Bar in Texas.

You aren't kidding. Looks great darkened up!

Despite being basically the same knife as my XM-18 3.5 if you squint, it's the many little ways in which the Eklipse isn't the same knife at all that piqued my interest. I love the way Hinderer's bowie blade complements the lines of the Eklipse handle -- and I love the little thumb rest! :)

If anyone happens to have a spare XM-18 3.5 / Eklipse 3.5 male pivot screw, ideally in black, I'd love to buy it from you. The contrast between the shinier pivot screw and the matte handle screws on this one makes me wonder if it's a third-party pivot screw. (I bought it used, as did the previous owner.) It fits and works great, but I'd love to know it was a Hinderer part by swapping it out for a known quantity.

Well after a week or so of carrying them both I have made the decision that it’s the Eklipse that I like the most. It is everything I wished the XM-18 was. The ergos are a vast improvement to me. The comfort level is also a step up, I believe the XM-18 was a knife designed to be used hard with gloves on, the Eklipse is so much more barehand friendly. Its almost like the XM-18 was meant to be a first responders work knife and the Eklipse was to be his day off knife. Smoother and slimmer but just as ready to go if the call comes in.
All this makes for a much more EDC friendly knife that will do all you will need it to do and more.
Now the only decision left is what to do with the XM-18…View attachment 1746502

This is pretty much what I think, the choil in the XM making the largest difference. There is definitely use for both :)

Then again, if you like the Eklipse Spanto and want a cheaper hard use knife, might want to look at the ZT0393.

I am honestly thinking about have a choil cut in the Eklipse. That is what I think would make this knife perfect ( for me). I’ve decided that the XM-18 is going nowhere. It really has become a knife I just love to use, especially hard and in the woods.
The XM-18 is the knife I reach for when I know I’ll need a knife.
Pretty sure I’m a Hinderer guy now!
