No definitely not, I agree. It looks so much better with the bronze/gold shade. Very complimentary to the micarta. I like that micarta too, I haven't seen one like that on the Hinderers. They have micarta scales they're starting to release but very plain, just colors...no designs like that that I've seen yet.
 
What would you guys do...?

I just received a relatively rare XM (was told there were only 3 or 4 made in this exact configuration) that I'm thinking about having anodized.
I think it would look good with a bronze finish lockside rather than the stonewashed handle with a stonewashed blade.
Do you think that would lessen the value if I were to ever sell it?
My gut says this one is a keeper, so who cares if it affects the value, but I've had literally dozens of knives come and go that I swore were keepers at first.

If the anodizing is spot on to Hinderer I do not think it will effect value. Is it stonewashed or working finish?

Agreed with Whitty. Wouldn't devalue it as long as the job is done right...and best to stick with electro-anodizing, just in case there's a choice given to you. I know flame ano voids warranties even when done by dealers. Other than that I don't think you'll have a problem. I've seen beautifully anodized Hinderers go for good money, and in some circumstances the anodizing commanded more money than the plain stonewashes.

There were a few stonewashed on the site....i wouldn't really think that even if there were less stonewashed it would really ever bring a premium bc of that ....its not a 1 off run or special variant....I'd do it however you want.

They likely did that as many want working finish these days....

Very few battle black also. No idea what it will do to value, probably nothing.
