Lets see those Axe Collections

Thanks, now I must quickly squirrel them away. It's never a good idea to let the wife see just how many axes I've accumulated.

Mine will jab me with the occasional barb about the number that I am up to now.
i've got to get pics up of mine.
the wife told me the other day that that she thought that i needed and intervention and or counseling about my 'little problem' ;)!

Here are the heads I have in process, most are unknowns, maybe someone else on the forum has some info about them. I've picked up a couple badly mushroomed and badly pitted heads for cheap, with hopes of grinding them out and making them workable tools again.

Just for fun, here are the original ebay pics from the jersey head shown in my previous post. It was actually much worse than the photos show. Badly pitted.

stp and prr = st paul and pacific rail road i think. Lot of times it was cm stp prr for chicago-milwaukee- st paul-pacific railroad. Nice find.

Thanks Operator! There's a barely visible 'C' to the left of the 'STP' I'll bet that's what it is.

Here are a few of mine.

Alright, bring on the updates!

Great axes M3mphis. Love the shape of the Flint edge. Love an axe with that much bit length.

Finished 1930s Camp axe from Warren. (gift to a friend)

Sandvik 2 1/4 lb axe. Not sure where (to whom) this is going.

True Temper flint edge waiting for a 30" ash handle:

Thanks, Cooper! I bought that nice Flint Edge from the venerable Operator!

I really like that Warren. I've been looking for a Sandvik boy's axe. That is exactly what I really wanted to give my sister for Christmas! Nice pieces!

Great gift ideas!
A restored vintage axe is something you can't buy in a store, has personal work put into it, and is extremely useful.

I love those Jerseys Memphis. Are they gun blued? If so, what sort of prep work did you do before the bluing?
