LETS SEE THOSE MAGNIFICENT HARNESS JACKS

Duncan, I think there are at the most 4 of those knives with the original handles. I traded a bunch of them back, or paid for rehandles. But I never cared to count them. A bit of a costly lesson!

Thank you Charlie for that - on all counts, I would not have asked you to pay for that if that had happened to me - nor do I believe a lot of our knife followers here would either - -its something that is out of everyones hands when something like that occurs, never-the-less I think the knife is simply beautiful, I do however keep it in a container with my other Celluloids - just in case it decides to let go.
That Golden Bone is just another amazing knife, Schatt & Morgan did a superb Job - was it Queen for S & M who made these Charlie?

Just reading through this wonderful thread again and realized that I had promised to reveal the flaw in this old Challenge HJ. I think the flaw may be the reason that it survived in this condition. It looks like the bolster guy with the file was a bit Off that day. The other interesting thing is the blade has never had an edge which leads me to imagine the knife was thrown in a drawer and found after the factory closed.OR hidden in a lunchbox and smuggled out. I have a vivid imagination :D Here are the pics.

Best regards

Robin

Duncan they both look really good over there in NZ! Hopefully one day I can come visit them and you. That's quite a trip, TN. in the USA to NZ! Glad you are building your collection up and getting the hard to find HJs.

Slight correction Duncan. It's goldenroot bone, not golden bone. I'm glad you were able to find one, I know how hard you've been trying to complete your collection.

Thank you Christian - much appreciated, man I am a happy lad, I have always loved seeing your knife!
And thank you Perry, the doors always open Sir!

Here is an old Ulster I picked up along the way. I really like the shield and bolster on this one. It looks to have been cleaned at some point and the tang stamps have been diluted a bit as a result.
I don't know much about it so any info is appreciated including value. Thanks all!

My one and only. Courtesy of Duncan and Fausto. Absolutely love this knife. Looking forward to carrying it everyday.
