Thanks Duncan. I've been desirous of a Miller Bros. ever since I saw yours. This one's not as nice, but it suits my purposes better. I like to use the punch as a firesteel scraper. Since the punch on this knife has already been tipped, I don't feel like such a Philistine putting it to work.

This is my first effort at posting a picture. :D (seller's pic)

I had wanted a HJ for awhile now and liked the Tomato acrylic covers from the first time I saw them, so I was thrilled to find this combination. Since picking it up a short time ago, I've been so happy that one was still available.:):):)

Maybe it's just about time I contributed a little something to this thread! ;)
Here are a couple of IXL George Wostenholm's I picked up at the Oregon Show.
Both have the slick black covers, with identical frames but the punches are different models and the nail nick is located differently also.

This place if it were to have a name would have would be "VALLEY OF LEGENDS", Sheriffs - Charlie and Dave - the Deputies would be a huge pose of good guys led by Gary and Frank!

Here is a Beauty  that Charlie found at the Oregon Show and was kind enough to let me buy it from him.
A Schrade with some pretty nice peachseed jigging!!!

Dave

I must have had a moment of insanity!

;) Sweet knife, Dave, now in deserving hands!
Nice crisp jigging, un-polished/un-cleaned! Most of the original finish remains . . . .That knife is the stuff collectors dream of!!
:D

Charlie- you are so correct about that knife-whew-dreams alright!!!

One of my dreams were answered when I was lucky enough to score this lovely Fox Cutlery knife from a very respected member here in the Forums-it seems as though this may be an ex- salesman sample, totally unused, it does have a wee bit of old activity on the blade-but relatively minor - dated around 1910 or so..... - I was also extremely lucky enough the receive a Fox cutlery Clip-point jack from the same era I suspect!....

Virginian Sir - when could a Chamblin NOT be welcome in ANY Thread? That is a VERY nice knife!!! Thank you for sharing that one with us, and I must mention it's not often that you hear of someone ordering a Custom HJ - so thank you very much for keeping the HJ going in your own way!!!

I think I have post it on other thread, but it certainly belongs here. Clauss cutlery, made by Case identical to their 62074 1/2 pattern. Made ca. 1920-1940. In great condition

Jake kind Sir - its all thanks to you my friend, THANK YOU very much.

Mike- wow that Case is a real sweetheart, I am at a stage of my knives where you stand and dont really know what is happening - or what direction to head as the styles of knife that you once thought were great - seem to be taken over by others - and I feel this happens to all of us as we "mature" (if that is the right word?) within our knife collecting experience.
I apologise if this sounds silly - this is me :o

The HJ is a model that has grabbed me and one that I think will be a massive influence on my direction, I do have a couple of Rare HJ's on the way from a person - who has given me the privilege to buy a couple of these wonderful knives, and when I see Mr Mike Berkovitch - our good mate post something like that lovely Case HJ - I kinda feel I am going the right way - Mike my friend...as I said thats a real sweetheart of a knife.

Bozack, I like your taste Sir - one of Charlies later HJ's and yet another success - I too really like that run.
