Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

Just one of those weird tidbits of trivia about Western knives I collect.
Thanks for sharing them.
It would be so much easier if I used eBay, but I don't.
I use it a bit. I try to limit stress and time-loss by sticking to "Buy it now"s.
Oh, the jumping was added by me a while ago.
Nice job.
So this L36 with unstamped guard and Boulder Colo / USA on the tang would be pre 1968, if I have learned aright.

 WOW, those Nordic/Finnish knives look like they're straight from Middle Earth. Beautiful to my eyes:thumbsup:
Thanks David... I don't actively look for them but certain ones really catch my eye and I can't resist :) There is such a good range of sizes, styles, handle materials, sheaths, etc. that they are partially works of art in my eye. The smallest one I have is 4-3/4" long and the largest is 10-3/4" long o_O See thumbnail pic.

I got to talk to Ethan and handle that Kephart at the Blade West in Portland. he and Ka-Bar did a great job with the knife. John
John, I've only played with it briefly aside for in house use:D I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this knife. I told my pal Duncan that this size fixed blade isn't what I usually carry for a daily carry. I'll carry my Bushboot in a clip pocket sheath for that, but this is such an amazing knife, it will be my in the woods, prairie walk knife from here on out, it's simple appearance is highly exceeded by it's function:cool::cool::cool:
