Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

Had this one on pizza-cutting duty yesterday ;)

I like this one, out of Box o' Knives #44.
Funny thing is, you can buy a plastic blade protector for $20, but if you want the part that allows attachment to a belt as a sheath, it's another $20.
My go- to generics won't work on this one. I really will have to make a sheath. (I don't think the generic sheath pictured is a very good match)

In the midst of all the GEC 86 and forum knife madness, I picked up a few smaller fixed blades, including two beauties from Horsewright:

As fine as GECs are and as much as I enjoy them, there are innumerable other knives to look to and enjoy. When things get too sour surrounding a certain brand, it's always good to take a break and look at something else - at least for me, anyway.

That's a fine looking batch of knives. I especially like that Horsewright in what appears to be Bonestag?

I believe he calls it amber stag carved bone and it’s stunning! The craftsmanship is top notch.

Thanks guys and Duvel thanks for the orders! Yep its bone that has been jigged to look like stag. I get it from Culpepper. Most bone scales used in the knife industry, jigged, smooth, dyed comes from them. I've always been fond of that amber color.

A few Olsens.

I'm glad I dug it out; it needs some attention.

Though somebody in the Olsen thread said that the Bowie blades came from Germany.
This chef's knife is too cool for the kitchen. The parer is very handy in the kitchen.

Maybe made in MI, but I'm always suspicious of "[company name] USA" rather than "Made in USA".

I posted this 1930's or so Colonial earlier this year when I received it.

I liked it, but never carried it because the very thin guard was a bit loose as were the scales.

Today I found it in the bottom of the belt knife box and decided to breath some new life into it.

I removed the scales and guard, reshaped the blade a bit, and refit the scales.
