Wow, those are truly stunning. You’re very lucky!!
I keep coming back to this one. Does the handle feel as good as it looks?I acted as a consultant for the UK importer of Brusletto knives in the 1990's, and so had quite a bit of contact with the company, being given a number of their knives, all of which I found very good. They used to be excellent value, and in fact a British custom maker, who was quite well-known at the time, used to buy Brusletto blades, grind off the name, haft them, and sell them as his own. Over the years, I gifted all the Brusletto knives I had, the last two in giveaways here, but I picked one up at a market a while back, which I haven't done anything with![]()

Let me send it to you Jer, I haven't done anything with it since I picked it upI keep coming back to this one. Does the handle feel as good as it looks?
This is a combination of parts: A discontinued Windlass Steel crafts "Spanish Cut & Thrust Sword", which was their approximation of the Spanish 1796 pattern cavalry sword, married to a rustic guard by a company in the US (whose name I have forgotten). This was my attempt to replicate a Spanish 1728 pattern cavalry sword with the "boca de caballo" two-lobed hilt, also known as the "bilbo" for what the English considered its Bilbao provenance. I built three of these and kept the one I liked the best, selling the other two to fellow reenactors.YES YES YES
Where can I buy one?
YES

If I can source the parts again, I'll gladly make you one.

I probably should have put on my too-small-for-me steel-lined Mechanix gloves before I started rummaging through that pile, some scary stuff in there! That sounds like a safe place for it.
Yup, same address. I was figuring out how old my new lawnmower is, and it'll be eight years I've been here, come August.
Woo Hoo!
I do that, too. Those naked blades will be fine in there for the time being.I probably should have put on my too-small-for-me steel-lined Mechanix gloves before I started rummaging through that pile, some scary stuff in there!![]()

Western Mark I, flat ground. With the wheel pommel rudely sawn and filed off.
