Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

Taking a Puma turn here, an oldie but goodie. My 2 pre-64 White Hunters

Tim Olt out of Michigan. I had him make two of them, one went to my Dad a couple years ago.

Really nice :) Thanks for the info. Your dad must have been thrilled

You know, when I as a lad, looking through the gun magazines I remember seeing the Puma white hunter and being mesmerised! I always had a soft spot for a nice knife but the Puma was the I wanted. 20 years on and I still don't own one, but damn they still hit that same sweet spot when I see them!

Same for me Sam - and in my case it's more than 20 years on! ;) There's a White Hunter and an Automesser in The Royal Armouries museum in Leeds, though the latter is wrongly labelled.

David Stifle Rifleman's Bowie. Of course, I think of it as a Fisherman's Bowie.

Nice Bowie, Protourist.

I think a knife that is at least as long as one of the sections of a break-down fishing rod is a good rule of thumb. :D

From Arno Bernard's Bush Baby series, a Porcupine:

It's a wee stinger (with a GEC #15 and #77 for scale):

Giraffe bone handle, and included Rand:

I've wanted a Bernard ever since first spying one a few years back, and am thrilled to now have one. The knife is so beautifully finished it almost seems a shame to use it, but am taking Bernard's (implied) exhortation to heart:

On the other end of the spectrum, I just added this GEC, a small, no-nonsense fixed blade in olive micarta and 1095:

With others, again for scale:

Knice knives Sarah.
This may be my favorite thread on the forum.

This Skinner by Jarrett Fleming...This knife frustrated Jarrett so much it almost ended up in the scrap heap. Thank goodness he stuck with it:cool:

Here a thread about the frustration he faced: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1221160-Ivory-micarta

Blade steel in CPMD2
Mill scale flats w/ satin grinds
Sheffield Ivory micarta handles
Natural micarta liners w/ blue g10 pinstripe
Natural micarta pins and tube
OAL:7" Edge: 2 7/8"
Tapered tang

Simply one of the most comfortable knives I have ever had the pleasure of handling, A great knife for daily carry and use
