It most certainly does! (Do you know what it is?) I remember seeing these occasionally when growing up in rural North Carolina. The one in your pic is in really good shape - normally the belly on these is worn down quite a bit.

Your handle there reminds me of my Edge Brand/ Solingen /Germany freshman orientation knife from 1975 or a little earlier.

This is the stamp on mine.The tang has Solingen Germany on it but cannot make out the third line the opposite side of the tang is marked with a 50 and on the blade it says Buffalo Skinner.
