Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

I had that same knife back in the early seventies. It also had the same stamp markings as yours and called a Buffalo Skinner. I still don't know what happened to that knife.

Another one with a fire theme,

Hess Muley,

It caught on the first spark. But with everything being wet, it still took some fiddling to keep it burning.

Picked this guy up at the Flea Market last month. Nice little Imperial Bowie with plastic handles. Gonna give it a makeover sometime. Until then, I will be carrying it for the entire month of March for the Month Long EDC Challenge over in General. I like this pattern, and am very interested in the GEC version of this that seems so rare. If I like this knife after using for a month, I will definitely be looking to try the GEC offering.

I picked this one up from Doug Campbell, JS, at the Art of Steel show in Little Rock last weekend.
Maybe the prettiest ram's horn handles I've seen, and they are bighorn sheep horns, from Montana.

Notice the beautiful attention to detail on the spine and guard.

Well, I reckon I'm gonna have to come in with the basics and po boy pickins.

Simple working stuff.

Stuff you can count on - Older SRK and two Moras.

Two for the woods. The sheepsfoot looking one is a custom made back about 20 yrs ago by some guy getting started. It is 440C and is a very good cutter. The contouring on the handle is great, but it's ugly. I hope to restock it someday.

And this is a nostalgia buy I just got in the mail today. It's an older Imperial. How old? What model? I don't know, I was hoping you guys could help me. As a kid, my first knife was an iImperial fixed blade. It had the striped metal handle IIRC. I abused that knife, but I sure felt like quite the woodsman and cowboy with it. So when I found this one on ebay for cheap, I just couldn't resist. It also has that cowboy bowie look and some age on it so I also wanted it to resheath and stick on a gunbelt with a patinad Ruger Blackhawk.

Hey, somebody has to represent the common knife!

Man I love that imperial H6 that's actually my grail knife ( when my dad was a kid he got the hatchet knife combo for selling the most newspaper subscriptions, but sadly one of his brothers took the knife while he was in the army and I only received the hatchet ) here's my ca 1964 western model f48a black beauty

Now that is a dandy, Jeff! Just a pleasure to see and hope to see more of it:thumbup::thumbup::D

Those file blades look great....

Black Mamba...that is truely an Art of Steel. Is that a "blood" groove on the spine? NICE!

LostViking It has been very spring like in CO. And tempted to get my Buck 119 out also.

Got a sheath for this Itty Bitty yesterday and wet formed it, freshly oiled this am and in the front pocket it will go, along with a RR barlow in "bark".

I may use it for hunting or camping as a lighter use knife, not wood processing. Or it may get passed on, not sure yet. If you are interested in it send me a visitor message and I'll give you first dibs if I decide to let it go.
