Let's see your Scout/Camp knives

I am in total agreement with gasman S G - That's a nice looking Craftsman - nice full blade etc and I most certainly do not mind Delrin when it looks as good as that my friend- good score.
Still looking for one of those Stockman Scouts - Whew!!! I fell in love with that knife - as in immediately.

Thx Duncan! Good luck on your 881 quest! When I bought that one, the seller listed 3 881's... 2 BSA and a GE Logo...I bought all three but he could only find two to ship, a BSA and the GE. I was buying 881's at the time and these older, unused matchstrikes were just what I was looking for...the cool bolsters were a lucky bonus.

I'll try to get a pic of the other 881 into the Trad Photo thread at some point.

Just in...

I bought this one on the auction site on Friday, and it was delivered this morning. It had dried oil on the blades with very little patina, so a bit of cleaning with mineral oil and #0000 was in order. In under 30 minutes, it looks nearly new. The edge was never resharpened, it seems. I'm rather happy with this one, and it will likely stay in my collection. A bit of mineral oil also cleaned up the joints enough that the walk and talk are as nice, smooth, and snappy.

Here it is pictured with an Imperial fixed blade. I hope to locate a proper sheath to marry the two to appear as one of the sets that was sold.

Found this in damaged condition at a car boot sale and got it cheap with some other knives. The pin at the pen blade end had somehow pulled apart and the blades had slipped down the side of one of the springs. Everything was flapping about and it was a hell of a job to realign everything enough for me to replace the old brass pin with a steel nail. The nail went through real tight and I was able to knurl the ends over well enough to finish the job. Despite the wear to the main blade, I'm glad I made the effort to repair this old knife with its lovely horn scales and think my honest repair adds to its character. The knife has no marks but I think it is more than likely German in origin.
