Let's see your Scout/Camp knives

The R1 catalog is from 1922 and it's possible that it wasn't made yet. I don't know one way or the other--just a possibility. Might be worth checking C-5 from 1925 and the second edition from 193...something.

That's a great trio of scouts!!! How do you like your Crosman? I picked one up from auction, really liking the size and features. I had really high hopes for it. Unfortunately, mine was pretty bad in both fit and finish. I always thought they were made by Camillus, but after looking at the awl, mine looks to be made by Utica...... on a very bad day. I'm so bummed.
?

The Crosman has reasonable fnf especially for the price. The delrin is slightly short on one side at the bolsters,1mm maybe. Has some up and down on the main when locked but not bad. Seems to hold well tho. The walk and talk is real good on all the blades. No half stops. I don't have any Utica knives to compare with. Haven't tried a beer bottle capyet...it does seem small. But enough tries on a cap will always get it off when you are thirsty:D

Good for you. It sounds like yours is much better than mine. Maybe I'll hunt down another one. I really like the features on that knife.

Forgot about this one. It's a Camillus Classic Cartridge .270, and like the Remington Bullet jumbo camp knife. Brown bone covers and 4-3/4" length.

That shield is a nice variation, Neal!
The knife looks in great shape - can you show the pile side of the blades, esp the punch??

Really enjoyed seeing so many wonderful old Scout and camping knives.
Lander Frary & Clark (LF&C) were licensed to make official Scout knives from around 1931 to 1939. Enclosed is one from that era.
