Lets talk GEC!

Several members reached out to me and attempted to help me find a Glitter Gold TC, for which I'm very grateful. (I seem to be known as a fan of the stuff, just because I continue to lobby for a Glitter Gold PunchNut for the Forum Knife ;))

We all came up empty handed, until untytled untytled offered me his at a porch-friendly, non-profiteering, break-even price. Thank you so much! Let me know if I can ever return the favor.

This one will stay with me, and it will sport a patina before long. Gotta take lots of pictures while the etch still shows!

I still fully back the glitter gold punch nut for 2021! In the meantime this can serve in its place as a temporary substitute. Enjoy it Rachel. :)

I'm glad our resident Glitter Gold lobbyist was able to score one.
Good on you, untytled untytled It's nice to know that there's still a few that will help out others.

Thank you. Just my attempt to apply some of the things I've learned from being on the porch with some great neighbors. If we're all not having fun with the hobby then we're all doing it wrong.

Whoops... there goes the resale value:D

I'm not a fan of that bottle shield.

I’m kind of with you on that, John. There’s something about the shape of the shield that I just don’t like very much. I love the idea of an #85 Crown Lifter, and I’ll probably try to get one or two (good luck with that, right?), but something about the shield just seems off. Maybe it’s the way that it looks sort of like the classic Coke bottle shape, but not quite.

GEC isn’t doing SFOs anymore… except when they do.

I think the only thing wrong with the shield is : It is turned in the wrong direction .

Purely a matter of aesthetic opinion, but It looks right to me: narrow and wide parts of the shield follow the narrow and wide parts of the handle frame. When using the opener, the "bottle" will be more or less upwards. Otherwise all the cola/beer would spill out. ;)

anyone else feel like the bottle opener should be on the pile side? I can understand when a secondary blade is desirable in that location, but the bottle opener isn't going to see as much use as a blade I imagine. It sure is gorgeous though, competing nail pulls aside.
