Lets talk GEC!

Is anyone else enjoying their #38 Whittlers?

It looks to me that this is a two part die. The base color is orange, and then they use a darker die on the outside to give it the two toned, burnt orange color. So during use, the outer color layer wears off, leaving the dark color in the bottom of the jigging. Does anyone have any insight into this? Anyone tried to re-stain the outer part to darken it up again? I kinda like the worn look, but just curious if a dark brown leather die would actually penetrate the smooth un-jigged part of the bone and last.

I, for one, am really excited for what GEC has in the works and planned.

I’m actually shocked that a certain slip hasn’t made its way here. Speaks good things of people!

That said, I do wish the production schedule was updated more in advance. The #15s early this year were rough imho. I historically never bought every variant, but when you didn’t know what variants were coming it made it difficult to pass them up like you might if you knew what all was coming.

Well now that you've mentioned a slip, you have to share with the class.

They’re pivoting to Balisongs. Bill decided he wants to hold a flipping competition instead of the Rendezvous next year.
That's like bragging that you're special and know a secret... share or don't mention it.
Thanks, you’re right 👍 But then again, it’s already common knowledge in the butterfly knife community (the garden to our porch) 😉

Very nice, thanks. I’ll contact Tom to get this done on mine. Do you recall what the new angle is?
