that sounds like a good one, the same set up as the 2011 BF knife, but with the boy's knife frame,

here is an edit:
I was just thinking what this reminds me of: the original victorinox soldier models - the boy's knife frame is just like it. I could imagine the addition of can opener and awl, or even a sacking needle to this frame.

If the bottle opener is functional, this could be my ideal EDC knife. Can't wait to see it!

Basically this is a godsend for those of us who were too unwitting or slow to snag a 2011 knife. And to be honest, while the 2011 knife is perfect aesthetically, there are elements I dislike (the big spear, the relatively heavy weight, etc) that this #15 addresses. A slim clip, steel construction, and smaller size/weight is going to make it a winner. I only wish I could have the shield and the bone color from the 2011 knife, but I will make do.

I always tell myself I'm done with GECs for a while but now I have 2 of these reserved...

You'll be pleased to know that I checked with Chris at GEC and she asked the man himself, Bill Howard, and the report is that the cap lifter blade has been re-designed for better function. Should be a dandy carry knife!

This is good news!

Just when I think I can get a month or two reprieve from GEC they plan a 15 with a cap lifter. Damn.

This is exciting news indeed! I was just thinking about this possibility in regards to the dream traditional thread going round! I'll start saving, as it turns out I have some how become a collector of boys knives...

I stopped by a knife shop on the Eastern shore, and asked if they had any GEC for sale. They didn't (I ended up getting the Bose 2013 collaboration), but they said they were sent some GEC knives by GEC back in 06, but they were nail breaker bear traps. I showed them my Charlow and 73, and they were impressed, and said they would check them out at the SHOT show. I don't know if they will or not, and I will continue to support my online dealers and others that advertise on BF. It would be good to see these knives for sale in such a rural, agrarian area.

GEC question; if this has been discussed before, my apologies, but when I did a search, it didn't come up...

On the .net site they have an A.A.P.K #33 in the making.

What do the initials stand for?
