Like Hemlock green? And then a green sowbelly.![]()
Don’t get smart…Like Hemlock green?![]()
I wasn’t thrilled with the 62 when I first got it because of the thick main blade, but after you recommended the Krein regrind, it is a pleasure to use. SO thin behind the edge.Which one is in my hand?![]()
Both have their strengths and weaknesses. It depends on my mood and what I am trying to accomplish. Right now the 62 has my attention, the regrind is so smooth.
The BF 21 knife is hemlock, not hemlock green.Like Hemlock green?![]()
Love the acorn, very nice.
When one takes artificial time restraints away and sit to create something the you have a passion for. One can preform the most amazing things. That is the beauty of art, the beauty of whittling. Pick up a piece of wood and lose yourself for an hour or so each day, each week, what you can come up with. A part of me is super happy to be done with Christmas, for I have a few "acorns" that I have wanted to carve rolling around in my head.I can't figure how you performed such a precise carving. Amazing !
Dan.

I would not apologize for that at all. That is awesome. I love whimsies, and the ball in cage is a standard.I hear you Jiki, That's what i do but the truth is that i have some progress to make to perform what you and Doulos are able to perform. Hard reality!
Sorry Doulos, here's the best i can do:

Well... just to mess with everyone, I'm still rooting for Hemlock green. (perhaps it will start a rumor...The BF 21 knife is hemlock, not hemlock green.![]()
Isn't that the color in the mockup?Well... just to mess with everyone, I'm still rooting for Hemlock green. (perhaps it will start a rumor...)
It's my addle-brained understanding that Hemlock can cover a whole gamut of colors...Isn't that the color in the mockup?![]()
I wouldn't apologize for that either! Double ball in cage is not easy. Nicely done!I hear you Jiki, That's what i do but the truth is that i have some progress to make to perform what you and Doulos are able to perform. Hard reality!
