Jigged Delrin, that makes sense, thnxI'm guessing Textured Delrin- regular Delrin with texture (jigging)?
Okay, that is absolutely fantastic... reminds so much of the camp knives of old, just like my Grandpa used to carry... Job well done GEC.
Bill should have purloined the name "Gum Fuddy"!! Not accurate, but more fun!!I'm guessing Textured Delrin- regular Delrin with texture (jigging)?

It's a brand!!I thought "Johnny on the spot" was another term for Porta Potties?
Case, for a wartime black synthetic I think!!??I love the name "Gum Fuddy"! Who came up with that?
I would love to see GEC produce a Sleeveboard pen. They made the 09 Esquire many years ago, but I believe the knife you are proposing would be a longer and larger. It would shock everyone to see two different levels of finish on the mark and pile sides of the blades, but it would be very traditional. On another note, talk, talk, talk GEC...I'd like to talk about them making a 3 3/8" Sleeveboard PenCrocus one side glazed the other.
But who can talk Bill into doing it?

I seem to remember mentions about the 85 crown lifter not being effective as a bottle opener. Something about the way the caplifter was designed. I have a good opportunity to pick one up but won't if the bottle opener is useless. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Not useless. Not as efficient as the 15s, though.I seem to remember mentions about the 85 crown lifter not being effective as a bottle opener. Something about the way the caplifter was designed. Its not the BF Knife. Latest run of 85 crownlifters. ThanksMy understanding is that the only issues were on the old Bladeforums forum knife not the newer ones. And if you see an old Bladeforums one at a decent price you get it and worry about the caplifter later (it’s fixable with a small round file) or tell me where you saw it and I’ll buy it.
Good not great is what I gathered from that. ThanksNot useless. Not as efficient as the 15s, though.
