Lets talk GEC!

Not sure if this helps, but I will make an attempt. Below are photos of the GEC crown lifter styles in my collection. I would say the 85 is the least effective of the bunch. As @Nature Boy mentioned, it’s not useless but it generally does take 2–3 passes to lift the cap. The new Sudbuster is probably the most robust caplifter of the bunch, but all the others perform extremely well – including the Beer and Sausage.

I just drooled on my keyboard.

Thanks for the pictures. Crazy how different the designs on all the caplifters are. I just assumed they were just different sizes.

Who am I kidding I am going to get it regardless.

I am a fan of the 85CL. It does sometimes take more than one attempt to lift a cap. Sometimes that tells me not to lift the cap and put said unopened beer back in refrigerator. 4621AC23-7563-4514-9870-908BEA740E19.jpeg

Anybody know what the wrench cut out on the crown lifter that comes with the 35 camp knife is designed for? Compressed gas valve? O2? I lucked out with a standby from my favorite distributor and got one. Looking forward to it. It will fit into the "getting used" section of my GEC collection.

Same here, and wondering the same thing. It kinda reminds me of a skate key, which would be a brilliant bit of nostalgia.

it’s a nice fit for driver bits. I’d use it for light tasks this way. Would also work on 1/4” nuts/bolts.

It's OK the rabbit etch will cover it.
Hope not, lol. No, really, I hope there would be no funny etch on the reverse side. Just the words "Bunny knife" on the mark side would be perfect. In my opinion, funny etches make knives look less... serious.
