Lets talk GEC!

They look great but I was really hoping for one in ironwood, ebony or cocobolo.

The Oil Sucker Wood .. I'm a sucker for it. I often regret missing out on the 86 from 2019. Maybe I should see if someone is interested in a trade for a kinda rare 151116 in Tortoise Acrylic.

If I liked the 87 pattern more, I'd be all over the hummingbird and church glass acrylic. Thankfully, I won't have to deal with the lollyscramble this time.

Yes, the Oil Sucker Wood made it tempting, but I'll sit this one out.
Carrying my two most recent purchases, and saving funds for the eventual #14 Sheepfoot. :)

Although it’s a pattern I’m unlikely to carry/use much, I do find it interesting, and I’ll probably try for the Oil Sucker Rod and maybe one of the Northfields (depending on how they look when they’re all done).

Definitely looking forward to that sheepsfoot #14, which has to happen eventually… right??

On a “stand by” with CK. Didn’t intend to chase the English Jack, but was staring at my phone when the preorder dropped. Interested in the NF church acrylic, humming bird acrylic, or NF jigged bone….I think in that order. The cherrywood might be Cool too. Sigh…

Not a fan of the 25 Beerlow but otherwise GEC appears to be off to a great start this year. Love how the #87 NF version's appointments mimic the elusive and popular Washington Jacks. Wondering if there's any method or reason why a specific acrylic material is selected for a particular pattern, or if it's just based on whatever is on hand in adequate supply?

One would think so.

I have one with spear/pen, and one with clip/pen. I'm not a "completist collector" but will have to try very hard for a sheepfoot two-blader if they ever happen.

With the patterns and cover materials they've been putting out, I am really excited to see what they have for this year's rendezvous knife and SFA's!
