Lets talk GEC!

2019 and 2022 bf knives were one offs. There are probably others, I haven't been around as long as othes here. It wouldn't surprise me if the stockman is bf exclusive.

I think the slowest mover was the 09 keychain knife. This stayed unsold at a time when the other GECs were selling very fast.

I assume Bill got a bulk discount on sheepsfoot blades :)

Sheepsfoot blades are a very utilitarian blade for all kinds of tasks- it's like the ye olde utility knife.
I think having a pattern with several of them is pretty brilliant.
Use them all until they're dull, then sharpen all four of them again.
I also suspect they're going to have thin stock for the blades, which will make them even more useful.

An entire run of four bladed sheepsfoot? Wish they mixed it up like the BF knife.
I don't think GEC's going to miss an opportunity to capitalize on a very popular pattern.
It's too early to tell, but I'm reasonably sure BF isn't the only Stockman being made.

If they were worried with capitalizing on production, 3 and 4 blade knives would be passed up for single blade Jacks. The pending 93s can be made faster with similar profit margins. Applying stardard business logic to GEC doesn't seem sound at this point.

Well good sir, we shall see!

but also... what's this about Pending 93's? What blade will they have? Ramsfoot part deux?

As always, we will know when we know.😉

The othe knife club with a forum that is not the leading edge of knife discussion had a presale of their annual knife. It is a 93 ramsfoot I believe.

A nice little Easter egg for those of us familiar with the area...
This past summer I caught a nice little small mouth bass just up the road a bit from this bridge.

It will be interesting to see what shakes out on this run of 91s. I'm also eager for the lambs and rams! Baaaaah!

I guess it is considered as a less "fancy" material than ebony and rosewood. I personally love bocote too. Its texture surely is standing out, or should I say out standing.
As much as ebony is my favourite cover and I believe it deserves the northfield stamp isn't it generally tidioute?
