Lets talk GEC!

Some beautiful examples Will.

I've actually never seen the 'gimp' shield used on a GEC so that 66 is a new sight for my eyes.

That's the corset I was talking about when I mentioned an EO 25 though. Beautiful work.

Another shield I enjoy that doesn't seem all that common would be this one. Was only a concept as GEC's 2015 model for us but I think it'd look mighty fine on a 85.
-As would a long bomb shield

Tim, I agree, the Long Bomb would be the bomb! ;)

Some ramblings...

Just recently I started fixating on the 85, and Mike got some made. Huge win and I have a couple single spears reserved in Smooth Autumn and Antique Yellow Jig.

Anyone want more Pembertons?

And a GEC Coffin Jack?!???! Count me in like Fylnn.

That broad spear just doesn't float my boat. I have no idea what that scandi is going to look like, but I gambled and reserved one anyway.

I assumed the "Scandi" would be like the "Bohncliffe" grinds, which, IMO, have lackluster geometry.

I've spent about 98% of my time in "General" and about 88% of interest is in modern folders. I decided to come over here and hang out for a bit, and I think I went a little wonky for a couple hours. Researching GEC, looking at the various patterns, a couple hours are missing...seriously, lost my mind....I have no clue what happened. All I know is that I now have 2 emails confirming my order of a #83 Northfield in Autumn Leaf jig bone and a # 36 Northfield in brown jig bone. Holy crap I need to get out of this part of BF! Where's the exit!?!

I have no knowledge of an "exit," but commend you on your Entrance-- you have chosen two very fine knives!

Welcome. :)

The top was a 2015 offering by GEC for our forum knife. We chose the canal street cutlery version.
The bottom is a Kerry Hampton Teardrop Jack single end cap bolster with long bomb shield and jigged bone. Just google 'Kerry Hamptom Teardrop'
