  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Lets talk GEC!

Was getting ready to buy another Case SBJ CV, but would like to see the Viper first. How long do we have to wait????

I know a lot of you are very happy with these new listings from GEC. My wallet is being pulled in other directions :)

Now if I can make up my mind in time for christmas, my first 73 or a cuban pen? That is my question lol

Although I love gunstocks, I'm more interested in the # 47 Viper. At last, a production swayback I can get four fingers around.
I envision a barehead with medium length (shorter than a barlow but longer than normal) bolsters and ivory bone in my pocket.

73 first, then the Cuban. Trust me.

The viper is going to be ⅜" longer closed than the TC barlows, at 3-13/16". Right in between the 72 and 73 patterns.

I like that vision, a lot.

I was kind of hoping the viper would be a play on the serpentine motif, and would be GEC's first true peanut.
But this is cool, too.

I'm glad they're getting around to making a proper SBJ from the 47/74 frame. I love my Hayn' Helper in NifeBrite, but something in stag or snakewood would be great when I wanted something classier. An all-steel one in ebony would be great too.
