The only image I have of the springs - I don't know if you can make it out or not but it does have a 'modern split back' as opposed to the much rarer old divided single spring or what some refer to as a true split spring whittler. Anyway:
I no longer have this knife (I traded it to someone who was much more desperate for it than I).

Thank you Paul im now going to Google the term True Split Spring Whittler
BTW That's one beautiful knife someone ended up with .
Denim Micarta and 440c #71 or #21? Sign me right up.I'm really hoping GEC gets around to another run of bull noses this year. I heard somewhere they aren't going to be using 01 steel anymore. Imagine a run of those sodbusters in 440c...
I'd also love to see some denim micarta on a sodbuster pattern, it fits the working man's tool theme perfectly! Does anyone know if they've used denim micarta on anything besides their northwoods?
Those threads are a danger to my wallet and my sanityIf you take a look at one of the dedicated whittler threads there are images there

It's all y'all's fault.
I ordered an antique yellow jigged bone boy's knife today.
If I hadn't been reading this thread, I prolly wouldn't have.
I did the same. Was surprised they were available. Two left on KSF when I got mine. Did you get the last one? It's all y'all's fault.

I wouldn't mind seeing a smaller run of 85's. Maybe 3 and 3/8 inches closed.
