Lets talk GEC!

I was just looking at the GEC website and I see it's still got the sept 9th cover on it. My question is. Am I wrong or has anyone else notice that when they dont put up a new cover for a few days there's sometimes a surprise comming our way. When they finely do :D

I have to think it'll be the 77 barlows within the next couple of days.

willy, I kinda hope you're right, but I don't know if my knife budget can handle any surprises from GEC!

I'm still holding out hope that the Boy's Knives will have the "scout" shield.

 Me too! ...

Makes me wonder why GEC isn't putting the scout shield on this run when everything else is the same as the prior scout/beer scout run... maybe they are reserving it for something else.

There are two different runs.... the beer scouts as before with different cover materials, and then a run of scouts, same blades (sheep/caplifter) with no shield and no bail (supposedly... never know with GEC)

I'm hoping if there's a surprise, it's a run of northfield 77 jacks with the new clip blade and pen/coping.

Well im fairly new myself just started in March of this year. However in that short time there has been a couple surprising additions to the website often in situations like this when there's no new post for a few day's. Or it could just be in my head who knows lol

Mike's 77 barlows are next up on the production schedule at GEC. After that, the 2016 BladeForums Club Knife, and then the runs of 15's that will take us well into fall. After that, who knows? Surprises from GEC are rare, but there's no telling what direction Bill Howard and crew will take next.

WOW, I like the Green! I am loving the looks of the new clip. Looks like a more "traditional" clip point that's for sure! Can't wait to see what the copperhead looks like in this run! As I have a reservation for a copperhead.

The green looks nice, but I have historically liked copperhead the most out of the sawcuts. I'm sure it'll be a stunner!

Still hoping the micarta turns out good. I have the hardest time picturing the covers on early reserve and picking the one I will end up liking

Based on the production photos i think the micarta will look amazing. I went with saw cut green and red jig bone, so I guess it really will be like Christmas when they arrive.
