Lets talk GEC!

Just got an email from CK for my #15 crown lifter. Why am I such a sucker for ebony???? :hypnotysed:

I just got my HJ10 and the ebony on it is just superb. Tightest grain I've seen and just looks.... I dunno how to describe it. Rich? smooth? creamy?

Either way it's awesome. But hard to capture in a photo. I hope the same ebony is being used on these crown lifters!

I'm sure it's the same source for the ebony on the Crownlifters, which, by the way, are beginning to ship to dealers today, so they should start showing up on dealer's shelves this weekend.

Favorite (GEC) shield on a favorite knife, a #66 Calf Roper.

I lowered the sheepsfoot slightly so its spine all but aligns with that of the clip blade.

Is that a GEC 38 on top Will? I don't think I've ever seen that one with the diamond shield in that configuration.

Thanks Gents!

It's actually an old Hoffritz Serp Pen. Single-spring 2 blades, the Clip master being sabre. Carbon. Glennbad re-handled it for me in thick white bone. 3.5" closed. More or less grail knife (I could live without the sabre perhaps) and near sunk joints make it very nice in the pocket. Wish GEC would start one like this!

Regards, Will

Going to need to get a second job since getting into these GEC traditionals. Those look nice. Nice size.

The office knife looks interesting depending on the actual handle material. The speaker jack looks like essentially a 2013 forum knife with different scales. I sold my 2013 a while back. Like a lot of folks, I struggled to find a place for it as a user, due to the blade configuration. It was, however, a beautiful execution of the design.

Whittler would be preferred. Hope the clerk is single spring or half whittler like the 89's. If not, i'll be in for the single blade whip. Hopefully some wood cover options.

Oh c'mon!
I'm broke! I did not need to see this. I have wanted to pick up a '13 forum knife ever since I laid eyes on it.

The clerk looks very promising and agree, hope it's single spring. The tang number says 17 on it, may be awhile before we see these ;)
