Lets talk GEC!

My beloved #74 Mustang in American Chestnut has gone the way of all flesh. :grumpy:

It fell out of my pocket at some point in the last week, and I can't find it. I think it's gone forever. :hurt:

So very sorry to hear about your Mustang hope you find it, they are special knives. A new release of 74's is scheduled soon. Best wishes that a replacement won't be necessary.

Sorry to hear that 9. I really hate that feeling. That knife is one of my favorites too! Keep checking all the usual places (under car seat, recliner/couch, even washer/dryer) It could still turn up, and I sure hope it does!

First off, let me say sorry for your loss... I've been lucky enough to not have lost any knives of value. The closest I came was my Becker BK15 on a camping trip on the north shore of Lake Superior. I though it had grown legs from our campsite while we were out hiking with the kids. Found it two months later under the front seat of my van. I had put it there so it would be safe...:o:p I wish you the best of luck trying to find your 74... if you can't check DLT, I believe they have some neat ones left. Good luck!

Check the washing machine!! At least a few forum members (including myself) have temporarily lost knives in the washing machine.

Hope you find it!

INCOMING MUSTANGS!!! Snakewood and Smooth Oiled Bone, been on reserve since late October. Think I'm excited?

Yes, I planned only for the Snakewood till the Smooth Oiled Bone showed up in GEC's pics. Might have been an impulse buy but one I expect to be happy with for a long time, since 74's are a favorite of mine!! Congrats Ramrodmb!!!

I sure hope you find it. It sounds like the two of you are pretty attached. I lost the first knife I've lost in over 40 years the weekend before Thanksgiving. It wasn't a GEC but one of the new Case Walnut jigged bone stockmans. I found it 5 weeks to the day later, in the woods, and luckily it was in one of the 4 places I thought it could be. It's a good thing it is stainless.
Good Luck,
Rick

Thanks for the kind words. After a night of grieving, I'm finally okay. :P

I'm 99% sure I dropped it in the city, so I don't think I'm getting it back. Some lucky German got themselves a nice GEC. I will have to find a replacement for the Mustang though.

I've gotta #74 Ebony Heartland Clip headed my way... :)

Are the only difference between the SFO Heartland Clip and the upcoming GEC Stallions the shield and blade etching (and obviously some cover materials)?
