Lets talk GEC!

Huh, GEC updated the production schedule yesterday but it didn't have any changes... maybe it didn't load right?

Good catch. Bill must be messing with our heads again. They did change it but all they did was move the 38's over to the third column as far as I can tell. I think they were in the second column before the alleged "update".

I put in for Early Reserve on the #38, and saw they had #66 on also, but didn't see that on the production schedule. Is that one pretty far off?

They had some photos of the 66 sheepsoot and clip blades a week or so ago under the What's Happening tab. I think they will run them after the 38's but I'm not sure. Just hoping.

On another subject. Does anyone know when GEC posts the previous year production totals?

I'd be happy with either one of these... happier with both!

Wonder if the 82 is going to pop up sometime soonish...

LOL. I'm one of those people. I like the 35 frame but not the contraption GEC has on their schedule. The idea is kind of cool I guess but that one arm blade would really get in the way when closed it seems.

Seems like It'll be a handy knife but not for me either. I'd love a 35, all stainless steel with Osage covers, pinched bolsters, nice thin clip blade at one end with a liner lock, caplifter on the other, single spring like the forum knife.

I really want a new run of 15's in 440C, with covers on new materials, stag or ebony for example !!!

Here's an idle question about tang stamp numbers. I was looking at the "2017 Releases" page at GEC's website today, and noticed that the #54 DLT SFO with a single spearpoint blade was listed as 541217. Wouldn't the "standard" GEC numbering be 542117? Is the number on the GEC website a typo, or are exceptions sometimes made to the standard numbering scheme?

Looks to me like they may have just got carried away with the 541217s on the latest releases page due to so many of those in a row. The photos of the actual knives look like they have the right numbers on them.
