Lets talk GEC!

Hey Leslie
Hate to blow my own trumpet but
Im probably one of the highest ranking
porch members when it comes to preposterous postings and fatuous flumgummery (not a real word ).
I have been pinged by the mods several times mostly in my early years. I clambered up the steps in 2006....and Im still here.
We live and learn. One thing I can say is that despite my errant ways I have never committed the ultimate travesty of mentioning mod*#n,tac&%@l knives.:D
Stay with it mate.

I just keeping my eyes open for the Bartham this year. Yes the infamous 77 Barlow. If I see that, I will all over it and every variant that is offered. This is my favorite of any knife in the world. Yes any knife. Ha ha ha.

"It is said here that you cannot do this or that," and a new person does not know. I did not even know where all these "laws" were written. I just started posting with my own obvious politeness rules.

many that have been here for many years that take a hardcore mod position (and one or two mods as well)

Since there are only two mods who spend much time Traditional, your post is quite pointed as to whom you are referring. You will have to allow me to defend my friend and myself, since you feel so free to attack us. Be advised, that sassing the mods is a 40 permanent point infraction. If you wish to make a formal complaint without an infraction, you may start a complaint thread in the Tech Support Forum instead of making snide remarks in a discussion thread.

Stickies containing posting guidelines are placed at the top of the forum to make them visible. If one does not wish to read the stickies before diving in and posting, one can read for a while to get the hang of the place. Amazingly enough, most new visitors don't have any problems fitting in. And the few who get a private message nudge from a moderator mostly don't freak out over it. But then there are some who are bound and determined to have a fit about any type of correction, no matter how phrased. The Traditional forum is one of the most active forums at BF, so if Peregrin and I are chasing off members, it does not seem to be noticeable.

I hope you find your Barlow in 2018.

Furthermore
I have always found Frank and Gary to be both fair and supportive .
Rather than sweeping the porch clean they are more likely to hand you the the broom.
The porch is a tidier place for it...if that makes any sense.
Cheers.

Thanks for your thoughts on the #14, Dylan.
Not everyone is a fan of small knives, but it's all relative. ;):D

Wow, I have this same combo in the mail to me now. I have a #14 Ebony single coming from a trade with one guy, a #18 Coyote in Osage Orange purchased from another. Really like the idea of the more 'peanut" sized knives lately and even my #13 Clerk is about my limit on large.

I agree!!

Quick question... I'm looking to purchase another GEC soon, but want it to be stamped as a 2018 for sentimental reasons.
Are items that are on the production schedule currently, expected to be stamped 2017?
Or, another take, what would be the first model of 2018?

As far as which model will be the first to be fully released in 2018, the 43 Oregon?

That being said, there will likely be some that are in production now that will run into 2018.

At first I thought they were books, but after looking more closely, they look like greeting cards.
