Lets talk GEC!

Oh yes you have! The CSC bladeforums knife..

I want to get my hands on one of them Very badly. The seem like they would fit my preferences perfectly, but offer a stainless option which is Very limited in my traditionals. On top of that, I love the shape of that clip.

Im sure you could bend it out. Then you just have a lanyard hole...

That's an option for removable bail, but for fixed bail the hole is tiny and you mostly just end up with an unfinished hole. It's about the same size as one of the pins and is unfinished - no brass liner.

True. I still think its a nice idea to be able to remove the bail. I have wondered about drilling it out a little but I'm not sure you could gain enough to be worth it.

Anybody know if the upcoming bail and chain 15's will have a removable or fixed bail?

Got I hope it has a fixed bail. Removable bails just flop around aimlessly, and get in the path of the blade, every single time you close the knife. GEC can do so much better than that.

I'm guessing it will be like the rope knife bail? I'm hoping it's more like the beer scout. Wondering if someone knows for sure because I will want one if it's the removable bail, but will pass if it's fixed.

I just checked on my phone. They are working and although it appears buttons are missing they combined them. All the info is there.

I am, frankly, quite excited to see a "mock-up" or something of the upcoming Boy's Knife. How the bail is going to be done is kinda a "make or break" kind of feature for many of us.

Also, some of the upcoming runs must be pretty big for the current schedule to take us thru September.

Is gec’s .net site broken for everyone or just me? The navigation buttons on the top are not working and may are gone. It’s been like that all week.

Same for me. Only navigation links that work on my iPad are the Home and Production Schedule. Tried deleting and just googling up the website and still the same result. Any ideas?

Since there will be a version without bail and chain, I assume you mean that the bail must not be removable to be acceptable?
Oh no, I didn't mean to imply that at all!

I actually have no hardcore preference one way or another, although I suspect we will, in fact, get the fixed style bail you desire. I'm stoked to get any version of the boy's knife style, I'm just getting antsy to see what we're going to be getting, haha!

I am having the same GEC website problems many are reporting. The only link at the top of the page working for me is the production schedule.

I was also surprised the new schedule takes us through September which is roughly 5.5 months. I’m thinking the 15 run will be huge like the 78s were at the end of 2017. I’m also speculating that we may see some Northwoods on either the 15 or 44 frame which is why they are stating thru September.

Most of the GeC links work, but you need to use the ones on right hand side of page.

The menu bar at top has some dead links.

It does seem like they have a light work load planned for the summer! Maybe things are so good at GEC they can take a vacation this year!.
