Lets talk GEC!

Aah - now I get it! I guess this near-septuagenarian relic needs to get me one o' them face-books.:p
Here's my lone 85 (so far) for knife content..

No! Do not do that! Then I will be the only one who has never had a facebook account. You can hold out!

Pictures of 82s in progress up on GEC's site. I was wondering what was coming next, since they seemed to be burning through the 99s and 85s. I don't see it on their production schedule yet.

Kiro Kiro - I think you might have discovered a “secret nugget” if you saw 82’s being built.

My guess would be the 82’s are the last short run for December.

Since the schedule hasn’t been updated I am only guessing.

New production schedule is up. 2 & 3 blade #82s round out the rest of the year.

I'll probably be saving my money...but the elderberry with bomb shield may be tempting. Might come down to type of jigging.

No interest in the 82s for me so more for everyone else. Also a nice breather for the credit card. Waiting on more 99s to peak their heads out.

I have a similar sentiment. Probably not interested in the 82s, which is a relief. It's kind of a funny thought, "oh thank goodness my favorite knife company is making something I don't like"

The 29 is the most interesting thing I've seen on the horizon. Hopefully that possibility becomes a reality.

I prefer this which is not my pic but what i prefer the 77 and i feel like that jigging is too symmetric/ uniform/boring bland but as i stated just my opinion. I prefer these which are not my pics

I have that exact 79. I do enjoy the jigging on that one. There really aren’t many jigging patterns I dislike, though.

What a great surprise! I have been hearing about these legendary 82 Dixie Stockman Knives for years. It seems that they are highly sought after by collectors. When they do pop up on the Exchange, they are scooped up in an instant. That California Clip looks great. In fact, the secondary blades are incredible as well. I am in on this one! It appears there will be a three blade and a two blade version. I wonder what the two blade set up will be?

Edit, I just read the two blade will be a clip and wharncliff. I hope they are on opposite ends. That would make it very similar to the Case Hawbaker Muskrat, and that would be one for the ages!

The two blade will be clip and wharncliffe. I assume on same end, but I can't swear to that.

I've long heard about the almost legendary status of the Dixie Stockman and now it would appear that some are in the works. I will be looking forward to trying this pattern out even though I am not the biggest fan of the muskrat clip shape.
I am a little disappointed that there are no wood options but the Elderberry jigged with the Bomb Shield sounds very enticing.
