Let's talk Northwoods

Fruitport, chased one of these for a long time

I'm going to ask a question that no one will know the answer to but here we go anyway.....

With Queen recently closing up shop, does that also mean the end of the Indian River Jack?

I've been holding out hope for another run of those, I really love slip joints but have recently found myself avoiding carbon steel if possible. I was really hoping for another IRJ release to enjoy that awesome pattern and stainless steel. Hopefully they can find another shop willing to give it a shot.

To piggy back off your question. How many Northwoods knife runs have been repeated?

I did a little trading on the exchange a week or so back. I came away with this Hawthorne Clip Blade. I’m a fan of the 48 frame and this one is certainly going to become a favorite! :D

That’s a beautiful knife. I love the 48 frame and the NW are my favorite version. That clip blade looks super tough.

My one and only NW right now is a 48 “bohncliffe” denim micarta. It’s super snappy too.

Thanks for the compliment! :)

I've been out of the loop lately. Any rumors of what's next from Northwoods?

The KSF social media pages teased a clip Northwoods blade at the end of 2017 hinting at a release in the new year. The Fayettes were then a surprise. Unless there is another surprise, those clips are probably next.

Makes me wonder what frame will be used for the next run... 43, 44, 15?
