There was a lot of talk about this pic in the GEC thread a few weeks ago. At the time I was thinking they were probably 77 barlows. Since CK has posted the cover options for the 77 barlow, and none of CK's cover options match this picture it makes me wonder if the upcoming Northwoods is a 78 barlow. Several of the Northwoods releases last year had teaser pictures in the GEC in production images that were removed after 24 hours - like this one. The bolster is blurry.. none of the blades shown. Just some thoughts. Big Bay?

Is it just me or does it seem like there are a lot more Northwoods releases? Every pattern gets a Northwoods version.
Haven’t seen this on his instagram feed. Is this FB? Please excuse my ignorance

Is the bolster on this one long enough to be considered a Barlow? It looks too short to me.
I would say if its pinned twice it is. If it is only pinned at the pivot then no...Is the bolster on this one long enough to be considered a Barlow? It looks too short to me.
Looks short to me too. I think it would look better with an end cap.Is the bolster on this one long enough to be considered a Barlow? It looks too short to me.
Travman, I've been told that the bolster on a Barlow covers one third of the scale. If this is true, I'd say that it is not considered a Barlow. I've also been told not to believe anything that you hear, and only half of what you see! But anyway, I say no. -LanceIs the bolster on this one long enough to be considered a Barlow? Thanks! I might sit this one out though. Unless he has some new cover materials. Would love to see some wood.Yes it is on Facebook.
Man I really wish they would do away with the clunky sabre grinds and get back to some beautifully thin- full flat grinds.
I agree. The proportions seem off to me. Too short for a barlow, too long for an end cap.Looks short to me too. I think it would look better with an end cap.
