Let's talk traditional, pocketable, fixed blade knives.

In which I add a Green River patch knife, courtesy of Vince (VCM3):

Wow!Those are beautiful blades! And 'STRIX'-Best name evah,period![emoji380] [emoji779]

Thanks! The handle is about 5/8" at its widest, the end (a lovely taper to that point)-- perfect, to my eyes and hand. I've seen others he's done with thicker handles and/or less taper, depending on the material used and/or customer preference.

I love the african blackwood he recommended for this one-- it fires up with all kinds of figure in the right light.

Incoming! Bailey pocket fixed blade. W2 steel with a hamon and cocobolo covers.

I'm super excited about this one.

Man, those patriots look great, and they have a great price to. Why havnt I pulled the trigger one one yet!?

Oh, nice. I think I considered buying that one, I seem to remember it showing up. Very nice, my childress is 6 and I think its about perfect. that's a sharp looking and practical sheath that thing came with!

I doubt it was this one, but he did have a similar one with some synthetic burl covers on the exchange recently. Matt offered this one up to me after I sent him an email asking to commission a piece. He typically doesn't do work during the school year (he's a teacher), but he just finished this on up on Friday. It's almost exactly what I would have asked for on a custom order, so I'm a happy camper.

It must have been the other one, but I really dug the design and the sheath and almost bought it, nice score!

My lime cutter should be on the usps heading to my box at this moment, pretty pumped about that! Just been on this edc fixed blade kick!!

The lime cutters are what got me looking into small fixed blades again. What covers did you get?

Yeah, Mark, those lime cutters are the bomb, and yours is the nicest I've seen yet! Whenever I think to look for them, they're already all sold.

Drumroll...............

WOW, check out the lanyard bead, pretty sure its the carbon fiber and g10 used in the construction, very nice touch!
