Lion Steel "Roundhead" Euro-Barlow

I agree. I have two 25's coming which i am looking forward too but i am happier with this one in my possession then the anticipation of the 25's. This knife covered a lot of bases for me and more then lived up to my expectations
Yes and also they are readily available(For now).

Good gravy!!!! I feel like I won the lottery. :D:D:D:D:D

I don't think I've ever handled a knife quite as beautiful as this Barlow.

And the best part!! With this one, you can leave your window open at night when it is humid. Ha ha ha!!! You and I live in the same region of the country.

I do not think I have seen a single Ram's Horn example that I haven't been very impressed with. Light, dark, smooth, textured, they all are exquisite. In my mind, they are the standouts of the available options.

Another smooth, blonde horn here which suits me fine. Overall, the knife is a winner.

Mike, has Lion Steel started on your Sodbuster yet?;)

Oh, I love that blond horn. Smooth, but with interesting variation.

After seeing all of these Ram Horns I keep telling my "you don't need another one"

Me, too. I couldn't justify getting more than one, and since it's such a modern take a traditional design, it made sense to take that all the way with the carbon fiber. I'm very pleased. Lionsteel Roundhead Barlow 1 .jpg

Still...that ram's horn...

Did anybody get a bad one? I haven't seen a negative remark yet. Usually somebody will get a lemon from first runs, or a few will just dislike the knife when it arrives. This one appears to be universally well accepted by all who ordered them.

I can't find anything to complain about. Good walk and talk, crisp half stop, no glaring gaps, handles are flush with the bolsters, no grind marks and decently sharp for a factory knife. I put the edge I like on one already and it is a great slicer.

The "Sure" reservations that picked one up before 3:30PM Central today get a free custom slip made just for these knives. Didn't have enough for every knife, so cut it off at that.

The long awaited very much worth waiting for Lionsteel Barlow came today. HOORAY :D:D:D!!!. The Santos Wood IMO is gorgeous and is a great match for this knife, like others have said the weight of this knife is surprising and outstanding fit and finish.
Mike I quoted your post to say thank you so much for throwing in the sheath that was such a nice gesture and another reason I am a customer for life.:cool:

Here is my first Lionsteel and IMO an absolute beauty. :)

Randy, that is one of the best woods I've seen so far! You are right, the sheath is very nice and a great gesture. Edit: that only came to the early reservers.

That is a Fantastic looking specimen.

Once mine lands, I might want to offer we trade slabs.;)

ordered a stag version today, really looking forward to it, hoping I get a sleeve :). though i like the look of the GEC 25's, especially in the ivory acrylic (haven't seen any of those on 2nd market, um), can't wait to check out this steel and great looking knife! thanks Lion Steel and CK.

I could not be any happier with my new LionSteel! This baby is beautiful!
Couldn't help myself and ordered another one last night...stag this time.
Thank you again, Mike, for seeing the possibilities and putting this together!

Wow, that's a pretty one. Is that deep honey yellow color the way it looks, or the photography?

The closest thing to a complaint I have is, while decently sharp, I started to touch up the edge to get it where I like it. I'm not used to such hard steel, and I had to take a break before getting frustrated. I'll get back to it in a little while.

With the amount of variation shown in the Rams Horn, I would feel absolutely safe ordering a second one and getting two different sets of scales.

Do you think it could be possible for LionSteel to produce slabs and sell them as a single or sets?
1 set of slabs for $30-40
2 for $70

It would offer some quick customization, and temporary bump in income for LionSteel with no increase needed for tooling or labor. If anything, it would be less labor to knock out slabs alone.

Got this and one in palo santo in the mail today. Not sure if I'm going to keep the wood cover. But who knows, it could grow on me.

Just to clarify, I like both of them. But I only need one. I'm just not sure which one to keep.
