Thanks for the picture Roberto!

Here is a picture of a small fixed blade I made (middle) and the large one I made, both in 01 tool steel. I'm giving the small one to Ryan. :)

Mark, you are super generous my friend!!! You surely don't have to do that:eek:, but if you insist:rolleyes: I'll make sure to give it a good home and put it to work straight away!!:thumbup::thumbup::D:D:D

Jon, I just learned of that resource through your post. I certainly will keep an eye out for his postings now.

Thanks for the link.

Whitetail with a side of corn, potatoes, and chicken looks wonderful. I'm getting hungry for mine to arrive!

Thank you for the comparison shot as well Primble!

I personally am glad to hear the Whitetail is stout.

You are welcome my friend.:)

My mom is from SE KY, around Jackson and Beatyville.

Her's and my grandma's cooking were amazing as well :)

That is about 60 miles east of me Jon. Thanks for the KSF video too. Looks like you found a beauty ! I am thinking about getting a curly maple.

For those of you who have not seen the making of a Lon Humphrey knife video on the KSF site, it will give you a feeling of respect of how these knives are made.

Thanks for the picture Roberto!

Beautiful country down there. My pop is from Hazard.

The curly maple he gets is some of the best I've seen.

Not only great respect for how its made, what it can do afterward is incredible to.Awesome vid.

Awesome video! Just remember he did all that with 5160 steel.

Funny though, I am always saying to myself, "Now, to come up with the money!" when it comes to knives lately. :D

Out with the old(or slightly old) and in with the new :)

I swear I've got an eternally revolving collection( save for my Case knives and a couple GEC)

I am extremely impressed with the Whitetail and am glad I bought them!! Yes, I had to buy both. I knew I would down the road anyways.

Out of the box my first thought was, “This is perfect.” I have smaller hands and it fits great. The blade to handle ratio is different than I thought it would be. I am used to a smaller blade compared to handle length but this still doesn’t change my mind on it. As you can see in one pic it is well balanced for such a small blade.

The Whitetail fits well in either sheath depending on who you buy from. I have yet to carry either, as I just got them today.
Compared to the PSK, the Whitetail wins hands down imo. It is a tad longer, depending on the one you buy, it is thick yet well balanced, the handle provides a great 3 finger grip, though the PSK may have a slit edge in the ergonomics of the grip, the Whitetail is 1095 meaning it can be touched up away from home, and to be honest the Whitetail is more original with a great traditional look.

Go buy one before they are gone. Here are some pics.

Next to a Hess Knifeworks Tiburon

Just a novice here so I hope to see more experienced opinions and reviews later on.

Wow KBA! Thanks for some great pics! Mine is coming tomorrow but I won't be home until late! Ah! These are totally going to hold me over. Hoping to have some pics and a review up by Saturday, after I can spend some time in the woods with it.

Thanks VE for the compliments. I appreciate that. I look forward to hearing what you think about yours, especially after some field work.

Brett, those beautiful man! Your pics are really nice.

I love how even though it's a small knife, the stock is super thick.

These are convex, right?

The curly maple looks so damn good, I have got to get a white tail before too long.

Thanks Jon. According to the video link that guy states that they are a full flat grind. Honestly, I am still in the learning stages on grinds. :o

Very nice Brett! Thanks for sharing your photos with both handle variations. The Maple looks great too.

Congrats Brett!!

Both are beautiful! The latest blade shapes look great. I'll likely pickup up another in a few months so I'll have one each to pass on to my girls (seems like a reasonable justification.) Have you tried your 73 in the 2nd slot in the pocket sheath? I look forward to your thoughts after some extended use.

Just the picture I had in mind to show the sturdiness of the knife. Thanks for saving me the trouble Brett. Those are both beautiful examples !:thumbup::)

Which one do you think you like best ?

Hey Brett. Beautiful knives. When you have time, could you post a pic of the Whitetail next to your PSK? I'd appreciate it bud.

Thnaks again guys. I really am glad that I indeed like these. I took a chance.

I sold 5 knives, including my scout, my only modern, and my PSK to get these two, and four other knives. :)

Primble - I have to say the maple, but only because it is sharper with a better edge imo.
