Hmmm... I thought the argument was taking a slight upwards turn in maturity there for a while, pleasing to see that DngrRuss1 came up with a somewhat cogent and well written argument. I was just beginning to think the thread might hold some useful information and then, sadly, the 12 year old Tomahawk and his parrot, Cannon, reappeared with their nonsense and dragged it all back down again. I think those two have done more to convince me never to go anywhere near CS than anything else I've read.

Nope, that would not be probable. Cold Steel is no doubt buying from some manufacturers under a "private label" agreement so the manufacturer applies the Cold Steel labels. There is nothing illegal taking place under such an agreement.

Well now, that's an empty scenario. If a company is unable to fill a Cold Steel order, Cold Steel simply places their order with another manufacturer. In actuality the job's are probably put out for bid to several manufacturers.

To your credit, you did indeed apologize! I didn't "essentially call you a liar," I simply pointed out that you had repeatedly failed to produce the "dirt" you said you would on other manufacturers. When you stated that you were not in the employ of Cold Steel, I pointed out that some quick Google-foo of your BladeForums screename, which another member had already performed, showed that you had apparently appeared in a Cold Steel "Proof" video and showed that Cold Steel apparently had a page of their website devoted to you.

You have stated numerous times that you "don't work for Cold Steel," so you can perhaps at least sort of understand my apprehension about taking your word for it, can you not?

As far as the information (dirt) you promised would be forthcoming about other "manufacturers," can you at least sort of understand my apprehension, and that of several other members here, about taking your word for that when you later stated that the Strider fiasco was what you were going spill, and Strider is only one manufacturer, and the whole ordeal had already been discussed on the forums?

Discussed, and in the open, for the Strider guys and their supporters to come here and speak their minds.

When LT smeared Strider -- obviously Strider, though he didn't have the nerve to name him -- he did it in a context where Strider couldn't come to speak for himself.
 
Gentlebeings, please leave it to the dorks to make useless posts with no information in them. If some of the people on both sides of an argument act like idiots that just makes it harder for people to sort through the idiocy and see which posts are worth reading.

Let's not forget the knives Cold Steel copies & markets as their own design. Of course there is usually just a tweak here & there so they can say it is not a blatant rip-off.

If the same things were said about Sal, or any of the other company owners then people would be up in arms and there would be retribution.

Glad to see things going smoothly, don't think Ill be buying the hunting video but to each his own, never was impressed with Safari Club International and the hifalutin trips but know a couple guys that back up big game hunts, think Ill get out my old worn copy of Bows On The Little Delta By Glenn St. Charles and turn off this damm computer.
 
Don't know about you guys, but I am anxiously awaiting Cold Steel's much anticipated 'Farid Signature Line' to hit the shelves...
