I have two kind favors to ask. Just asking, I know everyone here is free to do as he pleases.

Favor 1. Please don't argue with Nozzle. It doesn't do any good, he get off on arguing, and he will never, ever, ever concede that he's wrong. Also, the more you argue with him, the more he posts and so the more he poops up the place. I believe his posts speak for themselves and most folks recognize them for what they are, so there's really no need to challenge them.

Favor 2. Please don't quote Nozzle. I have him on ignore but when you quote him, I end up seeing his posts anyway, and then I feel nauseated. Really, I think a lot of you would be happier if, like me, you'd put him on ignore.

I know it's a lot to ask, but please consider my requests.

Thanks!

The people who said they don't like it should a picture and describe what exactly went wrong.

I don't believe there are any serious issues that warrants a rant

I'll post more here tomorrow when I receive mine.

I did that but it wasn't received too well from the other members here. And Sal never chimmed in, PM, or emailed me. ???

Actually what I didn't like about mine you can't capture in a picture, but I'm not the only one that has issues with theirs.

--above quote shortened for brevity--
No sir, Thank YOU!

I will happily comply with both requests and offer a hearty thanks for your education on how the ignore feature works. I will be employing that directly!

Off centered blades, gritty opening/closing, and bad grinds are all justified issues. these are things that Quality control should work out b4 leaving the factory. it only takes a min to inspect a knife.

Not to mention blade play. I think I was the only one who was lucky enough to get one of those. :(

I appreciate it and I understand your frustrations. if I were you, I would certain do what I'm currently working on:

Top Washer is polished. The Liner pivot area is also polished now.

Several have posted complaints of the finish on the M4 resulting in roughness of the detent ball passing over the ridges in the coarse finish.

Mine is quite smooth...so there must be some variability in the finish.

Regarding the off center blade...that is amazingly easy to fix. I can post a video if anyone wants to do it (really, it takes less time to fix it than it does to tell someone that yours if off center LOL).

Regarding bad grinds...this is one I have not heard. Perhaps it is the same as the coarse blade finish?

I am deeply sorry to those that are unhappy. Mine was so incredibly nice that it seems impossible to comprehend another one coming off the same line that is not at least *pretty good*.

I think part of the dog piling problems stems from the fact that some complainers also dog piled somewhat in that some listed one legitimate complaint amidst 3-9 others that are silly (i.e. the weight of the knife, the clip style, the G-10 roughness, lanyard hole size, or anything else that IMO is exactly matches the description of the knife that these people signed up to receive).

Not trying to be dickish, just saying that other than the lock bar insert, the knife I received looks EXACTLY like the descriptions I read before I got on the waiting list.

Mine is flawless in centering, finish etc. There is a slight rough metal on metal sensation when I open it although it seems to be smoothing out over time - I haven't added any lubricant. What is interesting is a patina is already forming on the top lefthand side of the blade where it is exposed over the scales and rests against my leg when I carry it. Its been in my pocket everyday, including fitness walks so I suspect this is natural - it doesn't really bother me. My grinds are perfect and it is razor sharp. I forgot to add -- it locks up like a brick -- there is no other way to describe it. All in all I love it. I am really looking forward to the all ti model that is rounded out and anodized...

My M4 Military is also a big win. Perfect in every way but there's always some room you can push it to the next level. With some Militec-1, it is now swiveling when the Lock bar is depressed. Very very happy with it right now and cannot wait to run outside to take it on a Full throttle test drive.

I'm guilty. I had 3 legit complaints and one silly mention that I prefer tip up carry. Sorry about that guys.

Thanks for the great advice..........

......I wouldn't have figured out what to do with it.

Of course you would have :) and you may already have done so. I'm not trying to bust you or give you a hard time, truly. $200 is too much money for most of us to shrug at. I assume most of us do our best to figure out whether we want a knife or not before we buy it, and no one's saying you didn't. At least one of the things you mention, the lockbar insert, was literally introduced on this knife - no one ever saw a Millie with this redesign before. Sometimes, as with this knife, you have no way of checking out either the general model or the specific knife before you buy it. But when it arrives and disappoints, if you've done your part beforehand (and, frankly, even if you haven't), that's the time to use the dealer's return policy. I think I've done that exactly twice with knives - in both cases I couldn't check either the knife model or the specific knife I would be buying locally, so mail order was the only way to purchase them. I thought hard about the purchase, did a lot of research and reading, before I bought them. Best efforts notwithstanding, they just didn't work out, and I returned them. In the case of this knife, there's also the option of reselling on a BST forum and covering your inbound and outbound shipping (I don't think any buyer would take any issue with that) or putting it on an auction site and letting the buyer decide what it's worth (in this case, how much above the original purchase price they're willing to pay for this very desirable knife). The really short version: there's truly no reason to be unhappy. Life is short - there are many other interesting knives out there, and more coming every month. :) Example: Paramilitary in S90V... ;)

I wonder how much of your life you just wasted by repeating yourself. over and over and over again.

and tl,dr...

some are happy cause of all the hype...some are not.

because of legitimite reason posted.

telling someone to just return the knife...that's just lame.

you would make an excellent cs rep for a major knife company like spyderco. :jerkit:

bottom line is how it functions. so, when ever any of you decide to stop looking at the knife and thinking...it's sooo amazing.

go test it out of something other than the little bit of hair you have left on your arms/legs or paper.

Yeah, I'm trying to work a trade with a guy now.

So the stainless steel attachment to the lockbar was a surprise to everyone, huh?

Paramilitary in S90V? Will it be on the Para 2 frame? Or the original para style? Was this another pre-ordered knife? Not sure I want to do that again.

"...waste..." " :jerkit: " ? Thanks for the thoughts.

And of course, you don't even have the knife, but voted that you're disappointed.

Look genius, why don't you go play in a thread that is devoted entirely to you! I recommend to everyone who sees this to check it out!

It was announced a couple months ago. I do not think anyone knew what it was going to look like, but many of us knew that there would be an insert to the lock bar...and some of us were very excited about this enhancement.

I would agree that if you did not know about it (and do not like it), you would be justified in asking for a return/refund...and I have little doubt that you would receive it.
