Madison Barlow Give Away. ***Winner***

Wow, what a great giveaway and opportunity!

I'd love to see something like this with 1095; maybe on a half congress frame.

It's not a common pattern but makes one heck of a whittler.

What a great GAW, thank you for such an opportunity.
My grail Northwoods would be a Forest Jack with a clip blade similar to the one available on the Hawthorne in blue camel bone.

Yes, yes and yes!

I like your idea on the secondaries. Maybe I need to "refine the design" tomorrow!

I'm glad you don't mind the "collaboration" on this. :D

And, I'm glad the secondaries strike your fancy, too. Wouldn't this make a wonderful EDC?

(Derrick, this should NOT be another entry. It's just so fun to imagine a knife for you to make!)

Derrick:

I have an idea that is a melding of many things. Use your imagination here. Northwoods historically sold a medium/large gunstock of the Queen Cutlery Co. You, Knives Ship Free, have made famous the single spring-wide bladestock-spear shape with a beautifully stamped Northwoods logo overtop of a non-polished heat treat.

Here it is. Imagine the blade from the Burnside inside a 3 1/2" gunstock. Would Queen be up to putting a blade shape/form that GEC has been putting into your SFO's, or perhaps even better, would GEC produce a large gunstock to house the Burnside's spear? You'd sell them all, I am most sure. Want to see what it would look like????

Please count me in on this one!!!
Thank you for bringing some very special knives to our world.

I would love to see a Large Coke Bottle although I would settle for a medium 3 3/4 at the very smallest but 5" preferred. Single blade, flat ground long pull clip with cut swedge, arrowhead stamped bolster with blue or green camel bone. No half stop, but with a bear trap spring similar to the Forest Jack. Basically the coke bottle in this picture with the blade of the Ben Hogan.

Thanks for the opportunity to give suggestions and of course for the chance to win a very nice knife!

I would love to see a sodbuster or scout knife. Maybe make the sodbuster easy open with some nice bone. Thanks!

I'd love to see a NW rendition of a SAK Electrician/GEC Cattle Baron hybrid. MS-Long pull Clip blade main, spey blade secondary, awl, and bottle opener. 1095 steel with a textured boned handle. 4" closed with the main blade right around the 3-3.1" range. (I'm looking at my Abilene stockman right now for inspiration, really love the main blade/handle ratio on it)

I'd love to see a 3 1/4- 3 1/2 pen, with a clip and coping.

I'll second/third blackbrit and onespdfrk on the whittler idea.

Awesome GAW, im in! I would like to see a peanut with a clip and sheepsfoot or spey secondary, long pulls and swedged of course. Copper bolsters and liners, zero ground M4 steel blades, ebony wood, or something dark so the focus is on the copper.

Also, I know it means working with someone other than GEC, but I sure would welcome the addition of more CPM-154 (like the IRJs) and CPM-440V/S60V (like the Gladiators.)

I would also like to see a "sodbuster" style about a half inch shorter than the F & F Bull Buster with a smooth bone handle. And thank you for the chance at winning such a great knife!

I'd like to see a Barlow with both sheepsfoot and spearpoint blades of equal length, made of premium steel. I don't care for patina. Thanks and please put me in for an entry.

OK, so here's a more clear graphic of what a Northwoods Fremont Whittler would look like!

From my own whittlin' experience, I think I would prefer a swedged spear & (kind of modified) spey for the secondaries. The spey could be a sheepsfoot, but I think this variation would tickle me the most.

Comments & suggestions are appreciated!

I'd say the swedged spear and sheepsfoot would be great but that's just me.
I love the grind on the main blade.
