MagnaCut Mule Team crash

Ok, I'm now one of those who couldn't wait and had to call the Outlet Store to ask about the status of his order. LOL! ;)

However, I had what I considered a good reason to do so.

I previously mentioned in another thread that my order for 2 MagnaCuts was accepted but that I was given the OpFocus discount and was only due to be charged $84.00 for both of them!

I thought that this was a "mistake" that could hold up the order because my understanding was that the OpFocus discount was NOT available for any Mule.

I was told on the phone that (yes) the OpFocus discount is not available normally for Mules but that they were making an exception in this case. So, all OpFocus members who ordered 2 are getting 2 for the cost of 1!

Thanks, Sal!!! 😇

As for the estimated delivery time for the remaining Mules that they have to ship out, I was told that most (if not all) orders should be shipped out by this Friday 12/10 and the rest (if any) no later than Monday 12/13. My order is still pending for shipment along w/the rest of them.

My box had a 2021 Catalog thrown in! My Magnacut must feel neglected since I took the Catalog straight to the couch.

Do you people know what's (almost) worse than having to work from home and look after a baby while you and your wife deal with the stomach flu (sharing 1 bathroom...)?

It's knowing that your new Mule arrived at your office across town but you can't retrieve and play with it until the above situation is resolved. On the positive side, at least I finally have a reason to look forward to Monday morning.

I got mine. First Mule team. Ordered scales and a sheath that should arrive on Monday. Looking forward to putting Magnacut through the paces and then order a DEK2 in it next Friday.

Not sure if it applies to anyone still waiting (other than me, LOL), but if you are having the knife (knives) shipped to a PO Box, the SFO told me that those are some of the last to go out and that they should be on the way by Tuesday at the latest.

Thanks for the heads up.

That includes me but the PO Boxes should be the 1st that I should ship out because IMO it seems like those would be the easiest to process . . .

Guess that explains the UPS shipment photographed above arrived so early.

Next time, if there is one, I'll give them the UPS address for my PO instead. ;)

IIRC, the gentleman said that it's something with the requirements to ship to a PO Box that is slowing it down. I don't recall that he was more specific, but it did sound like it was something out of Spyderco's control.

Whatever . . . but how would it matter if I gave them the street address for delivery, which I can do, for any USPS, UPS, FedEx or any other carrier?

If they say so . . . but how would it matter if I gave them the street address for delivery, which I can do, for any USPS, UPS, FedEx or any other delivery because my PO will accept any pkg addressed to me whether it's to their street address or to my PO Box which is located at the same address?

The pic above has a UPS label, which I think is how Spyderco has always shipped me knives as well. You can't ship UPS to a PO Box AFAIK
