There have been a lot of hurdles to clear with this one, and I continue to be amazed and impressed by the teamwork displayed by Dr. Larrin Thomas Larrin Larrin the crew at Niagara Specialty Metals nsm nsm , and now with the folks at Erasteel. In so many ways, the future of the knife steel world has never been brighter.

Realistically… it will be at least 6-12 months before we start seeing this filtering into the production world.

Does this have the same export controls applied as magnacut did / does?

I’m hoping that you’re wrong, but we’ll see.

It shouldn't since it's made overseas now, AFAIK.

Country of origin didn’t have anything to do with the decision. There was limited material being made, and fulfilling domestic orders was next to impossible, so Niagara made the decision to restrict the sale of Magnacut to American companies and a few other countries until inventory could be maintained. I am not aware of what the policy will be with Magnamax.

Thanks for the correction. I assumed Crucible was the one who restricted sales.
